Yikes that's expensive! But automotive fluids usually are on amzn. I dont get prestone wiper fluid locally, but the similar product from Splash is $4 from local b&m e.g. Lowes. Prestone does have a "winter boost" but only drops your fluid freezing point 20F, or 32 to 12, not enough for me.
Its above freezing today, and mine is working normally again. here's a video:
Regardless, I'll be pumping out the OEM fluid and adding -30 de-icer washer fluid. I'll see if I can capture some of the old stuff when flushing the rear, if I can rig a bucket to hang there (no helpers...
Should I worry about dirt, gravel, and salt getting in through the big holes or slots cut into these plates? They seem to have drain plugs as well, why the big slots too? I'm sure the plastic is not completely sealed, but it has complete coverage.
Ha! I feel the same. In my ICE pickup, I'd just cruise in 3rd gear, modulating gas a bit as needed. I love the regen downhill, but it does shine the brake lights too, even without blended braking enabled. Maybe not quite as much though?
What's the air temperature? Mine did that at below 0F, got a bit more useful below 10, only normal good spray above 20. :( Frozen nozzles? I was worried the OEM fluid wasn't really for winter...
Also, how's the rear spray? Mine works even cold. If both are weak for you, it may be the motor or a...
I have one you can have, and a rivet gun, up in Boulder but I won't be home til Wednesday. Or just stop by the service center or put in a request for urgent mobile service.
Discount and tirerack are the same company, but their websites and prices are still different (it is mentioned somewhere on tirerack site). They will adjust price but you have to know to ask. I've also noticed that installation at discount is quoted lower at tirerack (tho my local was a few...
I'd like front and rear bumpers that stick out just a bit and can bump (not crash into) things like trees and rocks and shopping carts without totaling the vehicle ;) but not necessarily extra stuff like winches and lights.
I've had both when I ordered an extra and they sent the old one. Measured, didn't try to install in anger! Old inner tie rods had M14 lower threads, my Mar24 build has M16. Don't know how much that might help. It looked like the new rod would fit the old mounts, but again I didn't try it!
The I5N sounds like a fun car to drive, then there's “N e-shift” and “N Active Sound Plus.” From The Verge and InsideEVs via /. :
Um, no. I use feel and sound to know when to shift, but I don't want to fake it.
