  1. *PRE-SALE* on now for MPP Ultra Stainless Steel Brake Lines (R1T / R1S)

I do like the idea of steel-braided reinforced hoses. So it looks like your new lines have a short/normal sized banjo with an additional support bracket for that extra length. I get that it was inspired by the droop or full extension of the rear. Are the front hoses similar? Have you test driven...
  2. *PRE-SALE* on now for MPP Ultra Stainless Steel Brake Lines (R1T / R1S)

Can you post a similar picture with the wheel removed and the new lines installed?
  3. Rotating Tires With & Without Wheels

Not an issue, unless you have directional tread (marked on the sidewall). I think it's more left vs right, not in vs out. Many tires have one side with white lettering, which most will keep in or out. When you move front tires to the rear, cross them left to right (driver to passenger side) for...
  4. Gen 2 tie rods stronger than Gen 1?

Later Gen1 inner tie rods (like mine) are M16 threads, earlier were M14, so 2mm difference. They even have different part numbers. I don't know about Gen2, but I have seen and measured both Gen1 versions.
  5. Magnetic Surprise! - Snostrip

There's also some similar 3D print models out there, or maybe just cut some slots in a scrap of wood.
  6. Magnetic Surprise! - Snostrip

It must be, magnets stick to the rear quarter panel (above the rear tires) of my gen1 R1S.
  7. Magnetic Surprise! - Snostrip

But why would you lean your skis, flyrod, bikes, etc against the door? It seems the R1 was designed just for this. Thanks OP, I may have to get one! Edit: their site has a banner with 20% off code supposedly ending tonight (no affiliation).
  8. Brake pad dust can be more toxic than exhaust emissions

Thanks all for the thoughtful discussion. I've fixed the link. I think that a link between roadway proximity and a higher incidence of health problems is generally accepted (but not "everyone"). EPA: Near Roadway Air Pollution and Health: Frequently Asked Questions NIH: Roadway Proximity and...
  9. Brake pad dust can be more toxic than exhaust emissions

The Guardian: Brake pad dust can be more toxic than exhaust emissions, study says If one pedal driving actually worked consistently on downhills, maybe it won't be much of a problem.
  10. Washer fluid sprayers not working@ 10F

We just had a whole thread about it. You need to pump/suction out the OEM fluid and add a decent antifreeze de-icer wash fluid. If you can't, prestone has a boost that lowers freeze point by 20F, but that's not really enough.
  11. Firestone 275~65~20 Destination XT Tires NEW . Anybody have these?

Pics or it didn't happen :) (please) I guess you got pucks OK too then?
  12. Lease with immediate buyout?

Whichever is lower first month. Doesn't change the total of remaining cap cost and residual (adjusted lease balance) [edit:] and that cap cost in the payment (both totals the same).
  13. Lease with immediate buyout?

IMHO yes, it worked for me. Yes, but s00ner. You can buyout as soon as you're in the chase computers, before the second month payment is due. Start online but then also call and be persistent, they're in no rush. It might take a couple weeks, it was difficult to get full details (even worse...
  14. Cybertruck Laugh of the Day [⚠️ WARNING: NO POLITICS; MEMBERS BANNED]

Some of us don't understand the title of this thread
  15. Boulder, CO area Help! Need to borrow some pucks for Costco tire install.

You (everyone) should definitely get your own full set of 4 short and 1 XL pucks from Mark for roadside, on-the-road servicing at a random shop, and home use. If they don't arrive in time, you can borrow my 4+XL jackpucks.
  16. 50 Amp Toggle Switch?

I just saw something interesting: ConnectDER EV to add a receptable on your meter (before the panel).
  17. 50 Amp Toggle Switch?

Look at neocharge smart switch for automatic use, mine works great. Cheaper than the 2nd option above, too.
  18. Frunk thingy

I have a 2024 Gen1 that looks similar. A tee with a brown-orange cap, just inboard and rearward of each strut. My drivers side is less inboard / closer to the strut but not as much as yours looks. Tracing back a couple inches, it just looks like electrical wires so shouldn't be an issue, I'd...
  19. Wheel touch up paint?

Oh yeah, and: Congrats and welcome to the family! Feel free to introduce yourself over at Introductions & Welcome Thread
