  1. Help Identifying the Suspension Clunk?

No, that’s a whole nother issue of the early R1s.
  2. Help Identifying the Suspension Clunk?

Yep. I get told it’s normal. Mine is worse on slow turns on uneven surfaces.
  3. First R2 validation build vehicle rolls off the production line!

Yes its a first year model, but its basically just a shrunken down R1S with a simplified suspension. I bet its more reliable than the R1 line out of the gate. I hope I'm right, cuz I'm very much looking forward to getting away from this air suspension.
  4. This is why I love Rivian! Received replacement R1T with RJ's help

I got a few texts and calls from Tony Caravano when I had my paint issues back in 2022 and they swapped me for a new one. Glad to hear they are still helping those that have these wild situations.
  5. R2 vs. R1? Why are you so excited about the R2 to reserve one?

My #1 reason? No air suspension.
  6. Rivian's in-car UI is better than Tesla's

I'm no Tesla fan, but I'm jealous of how smooth everything is. The Gen 1 system in my R1T is very slow and laggy...yes, even after a full reset after updates and then re-caching. I imagine a Gen 2 is a little better with the separate processor for autonomy, etc.
  7. Farewell

The suspension sounds I understand...they are a bit much. Good luck to you.
  8. Considering getting back into an R1T - seeking opinions on pre-owned '22-'24 vs. new purchase of a '25 or '26

Gen 1 quads are hit and miss with tight drivetrains/ tick tocking, etc. Mine is clunky as hell in all facets…half shafts and suspension…and yes they’ve been changed 3 times. I am seriously looking at upgrading for the smoother drivetrain alone of a gen 2. I can’t get Rivian service to...
  9. Wet spot under driver mat

That's where mine was. Just had the AC replaced due to this.
  10. Poll- Dual vs Quad Motor Failure/Replacement.

Was the grinding noise between coasting and regen? I have that currently, same year and vin range.
  11. 20" Inch Goodyear Territory AT 275/60/20 Factory AT tires + saving $

That's weird. Service center put them on my Gen 1 and said nothing of the sort. They were suprised how affordable they were compared to the Howlrellis, though.
  12. Pebble Flow Electric RV Trailer - My First Journey Towing With R1T

Good questions. Workaround is that with Tow Assist, its only registering as 5,000 lbs by the R1T. ;)
  13. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

400v is fine for R2 with a smaller pack than R1 as they probably improved the battery cooling system and it may hold a better charging curve. In reality 800v would shave some time off fast charging on road trips. It’s not something that would stop me from buying R2. It would just be nice to...
  14. Rival: 2026 BMW iX3 reviews are impressive... R2 has its work cut out

Not having 800v is going to come back to haunt R2. Imo. Unless they really beefed up battery cooling for these new cells.
  15. Pebble Flow Electric RV Trailer - My First Journey Towing With R1T

Hmm, I had assumed the manufacturer needed an agreement with Tesla to use V3 and V4 w/ Magic Dock. Appears it is just V3 as you said.
  16. Pebble Flow Electric RV Trailer - My First Journey Towing With R1T

If it can use magic dock then it would be compatible with an adapter with any V3 Supercharger, no?
  17. Pebble Flow Electric RV Trailer - My First Journey Towing With R1T

Yes, they use CCS1 and NACS compatible with adapter, according to early owners. You can also disconnect the trailer and remote control it into the adjacent charging spot, etc, to fast charge it at the same time as the towing EV.
