FOB is useful for valet service and for going for a run when you don't want to carry your phone. Could also be useful for a trip where you might have a chance of your phone battery dying (e.g., backpacking and returning to the car).
I love driving, especially my Rivian, so this isn't that interesting to me. I have also been in a Waymo and loved the experience. In my opinion, cars are for driving and taxis are for riding.
I have never been required to use chains on the way to Tahoe because they close the highways if conditions are bad enough. However, I did have to put them on once on the way to Mammoth in a monster snow storm. They left the highway open to 4WD vehicles with snow chains on.
To your point...
The mobile techs are employed by Rivian so are not scamming anyone. The bit about filling up the tires and doing a "general inspection" is in there because the law states that any time there is a vehicle service appointment, they need to check tire air pressure. So he checked the box. This...
I have Tesla solar panels and powerwalls and would definitely recommend them. However, you might want to invest in your own now that these are seven years old. Also, one tip - figure out your usage including with EV's before buying as you can't add on more panels to an existing Tesla solar...
Yeah, this kind of sucks. We have one for my wife's Audi and do use the scheduling feature in the app since the Audi in-car UI is so terrible. I guess I have to figure out the Audi scheduling functionality now. Will probably change this to a different vendor at some point - maybe the Tesla...
And it also now sometimes locks itself when it's in my garage, even though I have proximity locking off at home. This only happens intermittently, though. Strange.
This just started to happen to me recently as well. I left my car parked yesterday and went into CVS. Came back out to see it sitting there completely unlocked. This never used to happen up until a couple weeks ago.
I use Option 1 all the time and it works great. Option 2 seems a little suspect as on iPhone at least apps can open themselves back up even after you force close them. For example, if a remote server-based notification is sent to the phone, the app will open up. And then it could theoretically...
Mine occasionally disconnects and then reconnects itself without me having to do anything. However, yesterday it told me I had to reformat the SSD drive that I have attached. Not sure why. I did it and it all works now. Strange.
Smartliner for the back is good (I have one). But I'd also recommend ski and boot bags. Even the smartliner doesn't have a tall lip so water could drip onto the carpet, potentially causing mold.
You can also click the left wheel on the steering wheel up or down right after the navigation speaks or chimes. It is in navigation audio mode for a second or two and if you change the volume it changes it just for the navigation prompts if you do it then.
Interesting. You're the first person other than me who I've heard having this issue. I'll let you know what I find out. Do you also have a Linear garage door opener?
