Look, Rivian notorious for having very different problems with the same symptoms. So it is difficult to say what yours issues are.
1. Suspension firmness and clunking noises ... I afraid to say but most of them are normal. Unless you have a real specific noise that you can present here - it is...
As a side note, Rivian really has a serious problem with half shafts and dampers. Both of these parts are constantly being replaced, and as dampers, the price is astronomical (5k for front).
Mine were just replaced with V2 of dampers, I hope they will not leak (I do not off-road and roads are...
The play is related to front drive with gear lashing issue. SC just replaced mine, including half shafts and hubs. Problem gone. But they clearly said that the knocking between acc. and decc. were related to gear lashing.
Never needed this with Rivian, but Tesla took 6 months to refund me (I returned the car within 6 days in 2020). 46k. Fortunately, they reversed the loan, with interest. But i paid the loan for 6 month's while waiting ...
100%. I have no idea what Rivian did to make it so loud. I guess the compressor they chose has this special "feature". I had many cars, and none of them was so loud inside from heating/cooling compressor.
100%. Mine was driving fine, I came for a different (knocking) problem and my front drive unit was replaced due to gear lashing. When they worked on this they also replaced shocks. I presume many cars have this issue.
Mine were just replaced (front shocks). They told me they were slightly leaking and they replaced them with new, v2 shocks. This may be a good news if the new version will be more robust.
I was curious about the cost of this work, and was quoted 5k for the front ones.
Here are the part numbers:
They offered a loaner, but I took Uber credit as I did not require the car.
It took them 3 weeks to fix it (mostly waiting for the parts). The actual work took
less than 2 day's.
I just repeated what I heard. Obviously, I have no access to the Rivian internal data to support this claim.
Said that 5 times. I needed an appointment, application showed 2 months+.
What can also be the case, that the application gives the lowest priority to any request, and then SC...
Agree, but I am not only looking at what people say on the forums. I look at my truck, my friend's trucks. They do have issues. Some are built-in design, and some just bad QC. Rivian will try to fix design issues with new updated parts as soon as they can.
I never thought I would have a shocks...
100%, and they do their best to help. I never complained about SC - it would be unfair from my side, as they always treated me well.
As I live near SC, I always just stop and ask for help, and they always help; however, if you try to schedule anything via application, 2 months.
Well, yes, I know this for a fact by talking to a few people in Rivian. All SC are fully booked, and they try to open new ones as soon as possible. The average wait time is 2 months right now. There is a part shortage that forces cars to stay in SC for longer.
