Water is somehow entering the structure of the top hatch (from rain, car washes etc). When I open the hatch water pours out through the interior trim and into the car. It is very exciting. The water ingress also seems to have shorted out one of my turning indicators.
Has anyone else had...
If one reads carefully how CR calculates reliability, they also count as a malfunction every instance a Respondent to their questions has trouble with operating a car feature, especially screen-related. CR hates the screen-based controls on Teslas also, and dings them for reliability on the...
I found that most of the noise was coming from the cupholder, which has a lot of hard plastic parts that rattle around, even when it is closed. I tried it apply black tape to the moving parts (not very visible given the location of the cup holder), which dampened most of the noise.
We had two Bolts in a row (leased for $199 a month with no money down). Perfect (other than the overhyped battery issue which hardly mattered in the real world). Never the slightest gremlin. Great to drive, simple and comfortable. GM nailed it...and walked away from leading the market. We...
I switched to Scorpion AS on the 20 inch wheels and consistently get over 2.5 on average in AP mode. On the highway in Conserve, between 2.6 and 2.8 at 70 mph.
In my view, the ride, handling and efficiency of the Scorpion AS on the R1S is such a dramatic improvement over the ATs I can't...
My experience with the service center has been that one needs to be very exacting with them and clear. That said, they went above and beyond with me on my visit, comping some minor body work (!!) (from a bad parking lot door dent someone inflicted) and even comping me an extra physical key...
I am surprised by these quality complaints. I have a LE R1S I took delivery of one year ago exactly (10/22) and it has been almost perfect. Mechanically and in terms of the fit and finish, really pretty flawless. I had it in to fix the wind noise issue from the front triangular window, and a...
It is just shocking that Rivian has not included an egg timer, ear hair depilator, or an automated dog walking application so my car can take the pooch for a crap. I hate this car and should never have bought it.
In all seriousness, I find the Rivian interface and sw to be way above average...
I agree completely. I have an R1S and this is the most striking change. The pitch and roll is gone and the vehicle remains rock level as it sails over irregularities. Everything feels much controlled and stable. I also have noticed an improvement in the tightness and accuracy of the steering...
I drove from suburban DC to the western shore of the Chesapeake in my R1S with the update. This is a 40 mile each direction route I take regularly on a mix of highway, country roads and city streets. All purpose soft mode/ 20 inch wheels with Pirelli AS tires.
Drastic improvement. Porpoises...
Remarkable as these Rivians are technically and as driving machines, I find myself really appreciating what an aesthetic accomplishment these cars are.
The new Toyota Century SUV, the Bentley Bentayga, the whale-walking-on-platform-shoes look of the Escalade and Suburban. Each of these bloated...
I had the same communication issues with Rivian at Gaithersburg and they annoyed me a lot. Communication was poor. I had to do the same constant calls to the main number at Rivian. But the technical service was fine in the end.
All purpose. If I try to hypermile I get a bit better in Conserve mode (as high as 375 with the AC off) but not enough to really motivate me to use it.
