  1. RIVIAN Execs! Brakes stoped working in highway at over 76MPH

Given that this forum would probably hear about it and hasn't, my guess is that your experience is unique or nearly so. The question here is whether you are comfortable with your vehicle and whether there is anything Rivian can do to make you comfortable with the Rivian you have now. If the...
  2. RIVIAN Execs! Brakes stoped working in highway at over 76MPH

Breath holding not advised....replicating/tracing software/hardware/environmental glitches and their consequences (call them sons of glitches), usually difficult, often nearly impossible. Do keep at it, though...should be seriously looked at.
  3. A Beautiful Disaster — Rivian Is Not Ready for Prime Time

I've had mine since April 4, 2022 with a few issues. All were taken care of by service centers in the PNW quickly and without problems. A couple were taken care of in my driveway by remote service. I think it's pretty clear that Miami is not up to this standard and it is entirely appropriate to...
  4. RIVIAN Execs! Brakes stoped working in highway at over 76MPH

I have had great and reliable VWs until I owned one that after many service appointments could not be reliably repaired. Similar to your situation, the brakes stopped working. That was the last straw for me; lemon law time. Don't know if Georgia has one, but it worked out OK for me. Every once...
  5. What do you use your R1T bed for? (Picture Edition)

Just looking at moving those pavers makes my arms ache  . I've thought about asking if they load half-pallets, but probably not. Thanks!
  6. What do you use your R1T bed for? (Picture Edition)

Wondering what the weight of the load is....looks like a Lowes or Home Depot run. They should know what the weight is.
  7. 70 mph Range Test - Tri / Max / Defenders / Conserve = 335 miles

Conserve mode, at least in my 2022 R1T Quad, uses only front wheel drive and, according to many posts here, results in really strong tire wear. I have used it a couple of times on longer trips on the freeway, but mostly stick with all-purpose. Does 2nd gen conserve do something different than...
  8. 4th crack in windshield. OMG I’m so done

One of the Rivian guys told me that some people get Safelite glass (they can get it fast and think that it is better) and then go to the service center for calibration.
  9. 4th crack in windshield. OMG I’m so done

My understanding is that Safelite can do the glass but not calibrate cameras that look through it. You might consider separating replacement from calibration. One, then the other if needed. Maybe the Safelite glass is better. BTW: I had Safelite replace the glass in my (traded for my R1T) Subaru...
  10. L2 Charging won't Initiate on Cold Battery

Doesn't get that cold here so have not had any problems. Minimum temp for L2 for me has been in the 20s for overnight charging.
  11. Cargo box that fits the bed length: Thule Sidekick

I got it to work without drilling...maybe I just got lucky.
  12. Amazon Music as an official app

Just putting this out there hoping that Rivian takes notice... Amazon Music plays via Alexa currently. This allows access to my music collection and I can specify artists, songs, albums, etc. The current iteration does not give access to the many podcasts (several ad free) that Amazon Music...
  13. Mendocino National Forest Overnight R1S Camping (2h North of San Francisco)

What rig are you using for the spare tire? Good idea for the R1T as well. Unloading to change the tire? Not optimal...again, good idea.
  14. Gen1 R1T Locking Behavior

Sounds plausible. Can't exactly say since I disabled proximity on my phone. A couple reasons for this. I carry my phone when working in proximity to my parked truck and don't need it to lock and unlock constantly. I also (early on, spring 2022) had some issues with not being comfortable with...
  15. Canceling Apple Music?

Tried it, don't need it. Don't have an account other than in the Rivian and don't see how to cancel from there. Suggestions?
  16. Cargo box that fits the bed length: Thule Sidekick

Nope...that was a consideration here also
  17. Cargo box that fits the bed length: Thule Sidekick

Yep, looks good, and, with the backseat taken up by dogs, gave us some extra space for glamping.
