Which Michelin's the LTX Platinum or M/S2? What was your efficiency previously?
Trying to get an idea of what the efficiency/range hit would be with the 275/65R20 with the M/S2 vs the standard 22" wheels.
Maybe there's air in the lines, usually that causes brakes to feel mushy. Maybe bleed them or swap out the brake fluid and gives them a try?
I have a power bleeder (costs $70) and it's pretty easy to replace the brake fluid.
Those are going to be phenomenal but my god they are going to get worn in no time at all. A lead foot and my guess is less than 10k miles before needing replaced.
I just test drove a tri-motor and was seriously impressed. The power of it is absolutely insane, borderline excessive. I was able to break rear traction on dry concrete.
Only issues I noticed was the steering alignment was slightly off and it was pretty squirly on 20" ATR.
Test drove a tri-motor yestarday and was seriously impressed. The power of it is excessive. I wasn't able to test it across my usually driving routes and traffic was a pain so I still am unsure, but I wanted some feedback on wheel and tire recommendations.
The vehicle I drove had the 20" ATR...
What do you think the range would be without all the changes? I'm looking at a R1S Tri and swapping the 20" ATR to Michelin M/S2's for better effiiciency and NVH.
I keep almost hitting purchase but I want to wait for native NACS support.
I take it you're using this primarily for work and thus...
Can't wait for you guys to post some pics. Prices are pretty reasonable too given the size and performance of this rubber. My current Volvo is $450 a tire for Michelins.
I'm not saying Rivian shouldn't be where it is, but CR reliability isn't cut and dry. An engine exploding at 500 miles is treated the same as a car having an issue with the radio at 80k miles.
I was just going to say. Check your tire pressures before leaving. They can drop considerably when it gets colder and under inflated tires will negatively affect range.
Other than that, pre-condition the vehicle, get it really nice and warm before leaving, try and use the lowest cabin...
Can't wait to get mine. Going for the tri over the quad as I read it has much better highway range and will probably be a bit cheaper. Honestly doubt I'm going to notice 2.9 vs 2.5 seconds much. It's already in the outrageously fast territory. Like you said, once you add the options the cost...
Here he includes it in the comparison against a dedicated winter tire and AT with 3PMSF and it does extremely well. I would always run dedicated winter tires but for a non-3PMSF tire it's one of the best.
Great! I’m not picking mine up until next year so this is perfect timing. If you get them fitted please let us know how they are and if you can do any sort of efficiency test.
Supposedly the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 is coming out in 275/65R20 on December 1st. I would strongly recommend that as a general purpose all season that's quiet and efficient. I'm going to swap to it the day I pickup my tri-motor.
How are your Nokian LT3's? Are they studded? I wish Nokian...
