  2. Best tire / wheel combo for deep snow.

Those would be the best but would kill your mileage? https://truck.trackngo.co/
  3. Wheels: I switched from 21 to 20

If you get the 20 and get a slightly smaller tire profile (275/60R20), there are a few good choices for AS tires. I would personnally go with these: https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=Scorpion+AS+Plus+3&partnum=76HR0SASP3&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes
  4. Rivian R1T charging curve test 20-80% [by TFL]

Hi Tommy. Thanks for chiming in! Very interesting curve and I'm not disapointed as this is in line with my expectations. My suggestion. Charging from 0-100% would probably have been best. Then you can compute different scenario. 0-100, 20-80, 5-70, and on and on. Thanks again
  5. $80 to Fast Charge Your Rivian!

Granted, they are only 100kw chargers, but I feel so lucky to have access to Circuit Électrique at 12c CAD per minute in Québec. Most will learn the hard way that charging at fast chargers is more cost and time efficient if you only charge from 0-10% to 60-70% before you leave fore the next leg.
  6. On 21" Tires . . . .

    Actually it's 600 for 21" and 500 for 22"

  9. ? First non-Rivian employee delivery - to owner in NYC!! [Updated with Owner's Q&A, Info, Feedback]

Again, you paid for it in the price of your car. It's like saying you get a free straw when you order a soda. As for reliability for chargers, experience vary from network to networks. In Québec, circuit electric has been rock solid and I have been using it since 2013 with my Nissan Leaf.
  10. ? First non-Rivian employee delivery - to owner in NYC!! [Updated with Owner's Q&A, Info, Feedback]

Adapters may have been a must in 2013, not so much now with the increased availability of public chargers. So why include it if it decreases your gross margin and people won't use it. Also, nothing in life is free. "Free supercharging" is paid for in the price of the car.
  11. Another confirmed (non-employee) delivery (Santa Clara, CA)

Unpaid chill here. Reserve a R1S Feb2021. I won't get it until end 2022 or most likely deep into 2023. I would love to have it now. But my 3 kids still fit in the 2013 Nissan Leaf and 2018 Tesla model3. I usually change cars when I need to, not when I want to... which means I keep my car...
  12. R1T / R1S EPA Test Documentation Confirms Some Details: 210 kW peak DC charging, no heat pump

They did after a while. My model 3 has resistive heating. My nissan leaf also has a heat pump. However, it doesn't to any good outside of fall and spring. Also, depending on the setting, you even have to choose between heating air with your heat pump and drying it with air conditionning such as...
  13. R1T / R1S EPA Test Documentation Confirms Some Details: 210 kW peak DC charging, no heat pump

My recollection is that in order to work perfectly in a wide range of climate, a heat pump was not an option as it ceased working efficiently at low temp. The heat pump vs resistive heating may be a mood point. There may be more benefit to efficiently recuperate wasted heat from other system...
  14. R1T / R1S EPA Test Documentation Confirms Some Details: 210 kW peak DC charging, no heat pump

210kw is fine with me as long as it stays high most of the charging session. My Tesla model 3, even if it has the capacity to charge for 2-3 min at 245kw, settles down a 145kw ish until 60%...
  15. Trailer Brake Controller -- demonstration how it's activated [video]

This is how you manually use trailer brakes on the Rivian. Some have asked about actuating the trailer brakes. It’s actually more ergonomic that a “traditional” setup. Actuation pressure ramps up a bit, and is based on the set gain.
