What have I learned from loosing my time waiting during prior Thursdays... Enjoy your Thursday as there will only one Thursday May 13th, 2021. Internet is forever and the new information, if there is any, will still be available later.
While waiting for some Rivian action, we still need to eat!
What's cooking tonight? Looking forward to learn some of your best recipes!

This is the most simple and best neapolitan pizza dough I have found...
Coming from a long range model3, 480km is plenty, as long as you can charge along the way. There is currently nothing else in this category at similar or lower price point with decent offroad capabilities.
Pro tip: make a list of things you do on a regular basis. That's what you want your EV...
I think I read somewhere that heat coming from the battery and motors was enough to heat the cabin. Also, the heat pump was not able to work in the full range of conditions the rivian was design to withstand (extreme cold)
I don't want to cause any distress, but I'm very doubtful Rivian will have Samsung's SDI gen5 batteries, if they plan on keeping their battery pack design the same with 21700 cells.
It seems like Gen 5 cells are for stack method cells, aka square cells and not jelly roll aka cylindrical cells...
My concern comes from seized brakes twice with a nissan leaf in 6 years and recommandation from Tesla to get brake cleans every year in Québec for that specific problem with evs. I just had mine done yesterday, as they were dragging.
They should have good stopping power.
The concern do remain valid however as caliper pins and brake pads contact regions with the caliper will become dirty, rust and get stuck if not used, unless brembo have special alloys.
