  1. Rumor: Tri-motor Cybertruck $98,990 starting price ?

Was next to one at a light last week, had only a light layer of dirt on it and looked like crap. I will admit that I'm biased against their looks, but usually dirt makes a truck look *better* in my opinion, just not in this case. Can't even imagine what one weekend of snow/salt/grime would look...
  2. Rate the Rivian specific music streaming services....

I'm late to the party on replies, but mine is a mix of two…I use Alexa to launch a song from Tidal. For some reason, this gives me the same song as I'd hear on either Alexa or Tidal through the native apps, but it's louder across the board (without sound degredation). From the angle of, "I'm...
  3. Charging Schedule Ignored?

This just fixed a problem that has been plaguing me, y'all are AWESOME. Also, took me a minute to figure out that the pin doesn't move within the map area, you have to drag the map to align to the pin. Overall, not a UI/UX win for Rivian on this one.
  4. Felt weird going for inspection.

On the contrary, we don't have an inspection here in California. Emissions, yes, but that's it, so EVs don't qualify.
  5. Updated Powered Tonneau & Manual Tonneau Bed Covers Coming Mid-Summer! RJ Shows Off in First-Look Video

I carry gear to and from shows for my band, which equals a lot of expensive equipment, mostly with handles and wheels and the tendency to "walk away". The cover allows us to tour while keeping our equipment safe (no need to heft everything into and out of a hotel room if we can keep it locked in...
  6. My truck keeps calling...me?!

The reason I don't think this is the case is that the phone isn't doing anything, but the truck repeatedly goes into this mode, so it's not actually connected to anything happening on the phone.
  7. My truck keeps calling...me?!

    Always choose tic tac toe!!!
  8. My truck keeps calling...me?!

Totally odd, but in the last two days, I get in the truck and immediately a phone call starts, and it's calling....my cell number. I hit the hang up button and it immediately calls again. My phone, however, is not placing a call and doesn't reflect the call the truck shows. Anyone having a...
  9. Snow performance check-in....focus on tires.

While I'm not driving in snow every day, we did a Spring Break trip last month to Truckee during the Snowmageddon that OP referred to. Dealt every day with combos of packed snow, fresh powder (in the 10" deep range) and snow on ice. For the most part, didn't have any issues maintaining traction...
  10. Registration Renewal Fee's (California)

Wow, jump all over sarcasm much? Go pour yourself a beer and chill out for the weekend.
  11. List your Rivian (Enterprise) provided loaner car during service

Before they opened the San Jose SC, SSF sent me to their Enterprise who offered me the Kia Niro that is apparently making the rounds in this thread. Next to it was a brand new Dodge Challenger, and the kid inside of me who grew up watching the Dukes of Hazzard had to go with that one. Totally...
  12. Registration Renewal Fee's (California)

Our horrible quality roads don't pay for themselves!
  13. Recall: Front Passenger Seat Belt System [Notice Received 2/28/23]

They took my keyfob, drove it into the garage and checked the part, I wasn't able to see what they were doing or checking. Mine didn't require the fix, but apparently the fix is only a ~30 minute process anyway.
  14. Anyone have the IRS form 8936?

Apparently the credit under 8911 is only for chargers installed prior to 2021 unless your state extended the credit (California did not), but worth checking!
  15. Recall: Front Passenger Seat Belt System [Notice Received 2/28/23]

I swung by the San Jose service center today (about 20 minutes from my house). Took longer to drive there than it did for them to check it, clear me and send me on my way.
  16. Anyone have the IRS form 8936?

Looking at the instructions for the form, if you have the signed purchase agreement, you can fill it out yourself and you put (I think) August 1, 2022 for the delivery date as it's the date prior to the IRA. Head to the link above and read the instructions and you'll get an idea. I could be...
  17. Anyone have the IRS form 8936?

Looking to see if anyone else who took delivery in 2022 has received the form 8936 for the tax credit? If so, where/how did you acquire it? Thanks!
  18. Heated wipers question with no heat pump

I will say that the combination out the gate of the OEM wiper blades (utter garbage) and the windshield defrost (often blows cold air) make a combo that renders the driver's side wiper dangerously useless (the ice build up on the left side of the windshield helps to freeze the wiper blade). We...
  19. Truckee RAN is rockin'

We were alone for a while, an R1S came in as we were leaving.
