Plugged in and charged up to 70% as scheduled starting at midnight last night. No drain since then with the vehicle plugged in. This is what I saw three nights ago also. Huge improvement.
The open question for me is whether there is a different behavior when the vehicle is not plugged in. Two...
It looks like Rivian might have fixed the vampire drain issue for me with the .50.01 update! I installed it yesterday evening. My R1S charged up to 70% at midnight, and I've lost zero miles to phantom drain since then. See Electrafy chart here. The only issue I see is that Electrafy thinks I...
I have the Kuat Piston Pro X and think it's the best bike rack out there overall. It's bomb-proof, beautiful and super easy to use once installed. The cons are that it's expensive and heavy. It's not very convenient to transition from 2-bikes to 4-bikes and back, so it's best if leaving on for...
I also have the Kuat Grip 6. They are beautifully designed and manufactured and easy to get on and off the roof compared with previous Yakima racks I've owned.
I had mine in for service and brought them the data from Electrafy that showed a consistent 3% loss per day. They said they looked into it but didn't find anything. Separately, a mobile service guy told me they know it's an issue but with so many moving parts electronically it's hard to diagnose...
I received mine today and tried them on my R1S to see how they fit. These are the AL69's on 20 inch wheels. Overall they look like a good fit. Looking forward to trying them in the snow soon! Here are some pictures.
I love the regen feature. It is so much smoother than a vehicle that coasts and that you have to use a brake pedal to slow down. It's hard to drive my wife's car after getting used to the R1S.
When my R1S was parked at the airport, it woke up at least once every three hours. At home when in range of my phone it may sleep for at most an hour or an hour and a half.
The 85mph change in Santa Cruz occurred right when I passed a 65mph sign, so there might be a connection to reading the sign incorrectly, but I'm not sure.
I just saw this same thing happen when exiting Santa Cruz south on Highway 1. Somewhere along the way before Aptos it changed from 65mph to 85mph on the dash indicator. And it does it in both northbound and southbound directions. I’m positive the actual speed limit is not 85mph here.
You can only set it in 1% increments. Since my last service center visit, it no longer does this. They looked at the issue and couldn't figure it out and closed it as unfixable. But now that I'm home it's not happening anywhere. My theory is that they used a DC fast charger to charge my vehicle...
They honored pre-price hike pricing for me no questions asked. Trying stating as a statement of fact rather than asking when talking to the service rep on the phone.
Sine more visit to the service center last week, I'm still seeing 3% drain per day. However, two things are improved now:
1 - When I plug in to charge, it actually charges all the way up to the set point - e.g., when I set it to 70%, it actually charges to 70%. Previously, it was stopping at...
