This. I took my R1S in for an estimate immediately following a rear-end collision on 12/27/2022, and all the parts didn't arrive until 3/27/2023, so it took 3 whole months just to gather all the parts (and body shop can't confirm they won't need MORE parts until after they start tearing into...
Unfortunately was rear-ended 4 days after delivery (everyone thankfully ok, and both parties civil!), and now, 3 months later, parts have finally arrived and I need to drop my R1 at the collision center for what they say will be 4-6 weeks for repairs (?!?!). Given how integrated the vehicle is...
Similar incident with my R1S - rear-ended 4 days after taking delivery. Fortunately everyone involved was okay, which is obviously the most important thing.
Damage to mine was mainly rear quarter panel and bumper. Accident happened 12/27/2022, and we're still waiting on parts nearly 3 months...
I've been using a mix of Spotify and SiriusXM via bluetooth - when one stops working (which happens often), I switch to the other.
I prefer SiriusXM just so I can hear something new from time to time, but sounds like I might need to give Tidal a try. Even though the list of "working" Alexa...
Nearly 2 months with my R1S and I hate to admit I have no clue how the climate control works/doesn't. It baffles me... So, I just keep touching things on the screen until I get it to where I am on the way to being comfortable...and then I fumble with it some more when I get uncomfortable...
Same thing happened to me a few days ago. Support was great though and we had it all back up and running within like 15 minutes (most of the time was troubleshooting why my phone wasn't showing up to re-sync, and the issue was that I hadn't fully closed out of the app on my phone so once I did...
I have the same issue... Never have been able to get you know who to text, so I just ask the other you know who (Siri) to take care of it and she has no problem obliging.
OK, not gonna go to the automated car wash...but it's time for a first bath as we are a month in and my R1S has looked better (notwithstanding the gash imposed as a result of an unfortunate rear-ending hopefully being repaired soon).... Guidance on anything special to put in the bucket?? I don't...
Do you mean on the main screen in the R1? Or on your online Rivian account or in the app?
In the car, the name that show up has to do with the method being used as a "key" and who it is assigned to. If you have other drivers added to your account, you should be able to select the name showing...
Q-merit charged me $1,350 to install on the opposite side of my 2-car garage from the panel - they had to cut into the sheetrock in 4 places to conceal the wires (my request), and the cost did not cover making that look pretty again ;) In retrospect, given that Q-merit just farms their work out...
Consistent with many others, charger arrived after I started 8 steps, but arrived a day or two before I was able to schedule delivery. Had it maybe 7-10 days before delivery? Mats and first aid kit came a week or so after delivery.
Has anyone been able to get an in-home Alexa device (echo, show, etc.) to open the hood and/or rear lift gate? Or do anything else cool?? I'd love to be able to say, "Alexa, open the hood on my Rivian" from inside the house and then walk out to the car and have it open.
I read through the following thread and was able to get Alexa to open/close the garage door - probably the most useful thing she can do...

So what's the protocol for a Rivian:Rivian encounter?? I have an R1S and sped up ever-so-slightly to catch up to an R1T and tried to give a wave but nothing! Pretty sure they saw me, and I have to admit I was kind of bummed when there was no apparent acknowledgment of a "like-minded...
Please don't apologize - this is all SUPER helpful information, and guidance I will most definitely heed!! I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to share your experience because it helps me (and hopefully others in the future) know how to try to get things moving in the right direction...
Yes, the collision shop said they has an R1T there, but I think this might be the first R1S. Not an honor I was seeking, but it is what is, and I will share our experiences throughout the process here in hopes it can help others in the future!
Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear about your experience -- I cannot imagine!!! Hopefully there were no injuries!!! That is just so scary!!!
On the advice of the collision shop, we are working through OUR insurance company and NOT that of the individual at fault. Initial estimate from the...
We will get our R1S stealth wrapped here in Houston once we get the collision repair done (we were literally on our way there but never made it due to a rear-end collision). Quote was from AFS in Houston for $7,900, and service center here confirmed they do good work. Will post pics if we ever...
Sorry you were rear-ended as well - hopefully everyone was okay and it was just inconvenient for both you and the other driver.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the bodywork - I suspect I'll be in around the same boat time-wise, but we shall see...
And "w-Audi".... Not sure what it...
Glad to hear your insurance company is making things as painless as possible for you - here's hoping ours does the same, as I fully suspect they will! I have to say they have been great in terms of communication thus far, so I remain hopeful this is just a "bump in the road" as another kind...
