Seems high for a 40 amp charger on a 50 amp circuit. Is the truck in Conserve drive mode? I get about 22 mph pulling 48 amps on a 60 amp circuit via the Rivian wall charger with the truck in All-purpose mode. You might be overloading that circuit which could eventually lead to the breaker...
At least at the shop I visited, these are NOT precut pieces. There’s a CAD template for the Rivian program and the machine at the shop cuts to that template. The guy at the shop said they can make edits to the template before cutting, which is what he was going to do if I wanted them to...
I had the same issue during a long road trip to Montana. Worked fine on the way up, but stopped working on the way back. I chalked it up to potentially being all the dirt and bugs caked on the sensors. Started working again after I got home, let it sleep overnight and washed the truck. This...
I thought we were talking about the reservation agreements, not PBA’s. PBA’s might qualify.
Generally the way things work in government is that Congress passes a law, and then various agencies then write implementing regulations for that law. Sometimes the law is very specific, so it’s...
Did not. I think it’s only required in certain counties in UT and I’m not in one of them.
Regardless, it looks like new vehicles are exempt from inspection requirements in UT.

My local shop proactively asked me if I preferred to have the gloss black portions done in gloss vs. stealth and said there would not be any additional charge. I’m sure that’s a shop specific thing, so worth asking if you’re interested in that. I’m guessing the OEM path will be all stealth?
Title came last week, plates and registration arrived yesterday via FedEx - just over 2 months after taking delivery of the truck.
it’s interesting to me that the plates and registration (Utah) were shipped FedEx from NY. Seems a bit inefficient, both from a cost and time standpoint, to have...
Got the truck serviced today. Dropped off at 9:00am, ready at 3:00pm. Was offered Lyft credit or rental car. Not a word of discussion about whether this was a warrantee item. They fixed it at no cost to me, no questions asked. Service Center folks were awesome. ?
Update on this. Had a nice visit with the local shop. They had A LOT of really high end cars in the shop. They confirmed that the “Rivian Special” is no wrapped edges and no de-badging. He said there would be a rectangular cutout around the badges in the standard “Rivian Special” template...
I’m meeting with the local shop tomorrow. Not wrapping edges I could probably live with, but big cutouts around the badging is likely a no-go for me.
Got a call today from a local shop in response to filling out the form from the email link. Same shop I’d reached out to a couple of months ago and gotten a quote for $11,600 for a full stealth wrap. They were definitely trying to hard sell me on some “upgrades” - $2k more to wrap edges, then...
Thought I’d start a separate thread on this topic since it seems lots of early owners are getting attention from the general public. So post up your stories here!
Here’s mine. I was driving on I-15S thru Pocatello, ID over July 4 weekend. Had just stopped for a charge at the EA station there...
Unless you specifically indicated you refuse the term in your purchase agreement, you waived the right to class action, and even worse, agreed to mediation as the only dispute remedy.
