  1. Those who hand wash their Rivians...

I am 6'1" and I use a Gorilla platform. Sometimes a pole mounted washcloth too. https://gorillamade.com/product/glwp-51p/ I don't use 2 bucket anymore. I just use more washcloths. They never go back in the bucket.
  2. Software Update 2023.38 Release Notes ?

Looking forward to some of these new updates. As for the Halloween features, there is no reason they couldn't have had the Halloween portion of the update already in the current firmware. Just have the option for the feature enable by date. October 1st rolls around the option surfaces.
  3. PSA : print this sign before using spare tire / tire rotation by tire shop

BTW if you have the crossbars on the bed be sure to take the rear one off so you flip the hatch up to 90 degrees. Good reason to always have a key for them.
  4. Received Email: Software Update For Your Rivian Wall Charger Beginning Late November

I only have V03.00.20. I have owned the charger for 17 months but I only got it installed a couple of weeks ago. Still no updates.
  5. California Used 22" Pirelli Tires (2) 5/64" asking beer

I am in NCSD too but I have 20s. And I usually have a supply of craft beer around LOL
  6. Canceled my R1S order :-(

Our first test drive in the R1T was at our house. The acceleration brought a grin to my face but I was surprise the ride was so rough. I pulled over and had the Rivian employee show us how to change the settings. I was surprised the difference it made on our rough roads. When we got back I...
  7. Y’all Didn’t Get Halloween Theme Yet!?

I hope they do it again this year. It would have been cool if the puddle lights had changed with the previous Halloween theme. I know mine didn't.
  8. PSA : print this sign before using spare tire / tire rotation by tire shop

I had Discount Tire to a rotation. I removed the plate and rod myself before I took it in.
  9. How has the 2023.34.0 Update changed the ride of your Rivian? [Vote in poll]

R1T. I feel the new stiff is a bit too soft. Too much body roll in corners and rear squat on launches. I would prefer to have 3 settings soft, medium, and stiff. This current release's stiff could be the medium.
  10. Rivian tire change blues!

When I saw the thread title: Yep that went pretty much how I expected :D
  11. Do you always carry keyfob or just keycard?

I am a fobber. But rely on PAAK most of the time.
  12. New Wheels Launched for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV - R1000 Adventure and R800 Compass

Your pick of tire style will have a larger effect on range than the wheel size.
  13. Wall Charger Issue with 2023.30.0

I have had my charger for 16 months and finally got it installed just a couple of days ago with our solar installation. I have only used it once and it worked correctly, although I had to go back into the truck and redo my charging schedule. I am on firmware 3.00.20 I wonder if I should avoid...
  14. Why EVs suck - a primer for stupid people.

The only expert there is in making poorly worded mistake filled clickbait garbage.
  15. R1T 12v batteries dead

Agreed, if there is power in the HV above 10% the 12V should never die.
  16. Let's remove the Conserve Mode stigma

Stigma? Has someone been calling Conserve Mode the Peasant Mode?
  17. Save on gas, pay more on registration renewal (CA)

That is close to what my R1T was in CA. Vehicle Registration Fee is a tax on the value of the vehicle, Then you have the license fee, and the weight fee. The extra yearly fee for the EV is $175 - I believe that is part of the license fee since it wasn't listed as a line item on my renewal.
  18. My fridge locations (ARB 63qt) -- R1T bed and back seat (using raised platform)

The reason 12V is preferred is the fridge is actually has a 12V compressor in it. If you run 110V the Rivian has stepped up the 12V to 110V and then the fridge drops it back down to 12V. It is less efficient to do that. I looked at the Anker when they were doing their pre-orders. I figured I...
