that’s because you have a 2022, you get free adjustments for the entire 5 year warranty. Everyone else from June 7th on only gets a year of free adjustments.
Umm, the Rivian warranty literally says:
1-year or 12,000-mile (whichever occurs first) adjustment warranty.
Not sure how I’m being dishonest when that is Rivian’s stated policy. The only exceptions are people who received delivery before June 7th, 2023 and others who were out of warranty...
I just checked and I think it does. There’s no obvious place on the UI that indicates a Connect+ subscription, but YouTube and the Wi-Fi hotspot work so it must have Connect+
Maybe this is related to Connect+? Now that I think about it, the infotainment was definitely slower when I still had the Connect+ trial (had to press buttons multiple times, slow screen load times, music would skip when switching pages, etc.) Since the free trial expired it’s much more...
I noticed the chirping/squeaking on mine as well. It’s very quiet, I only hear it with HVAC and sound system totally off. Rivian didn’t even check it, I just mentioned it and they added the jounce line replacement for free.
Right, I feel like I’ve seen so many people mention courtesy adjustments like this done well after 1 year which is why I wasn’t worried about it. I guess the Seattle SC is more persnickety about thee things than others…
I don’t see this mentioned often, but people should be aware that small adjustments (panel gaps, trim issues, and other small misalignmemts) are only covered under warranty for one year. So make sure and report all these issues to Rivian ASAP as I just discovered they take this 1 year period...
Is this only happening on Gen 2? It’s my understanding the infotainment system is largely the same with Gen 1 but I haven’t noticed any of these issues on my Quad.
For R1S the changes started mid 2023, probably June (vin 13000.) More info here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/gen-1-rolling-suspension-changes.37301/
I actually just dropped my Quad off at the service center for the first time (tech fixed wind noise on the spot, you can do it with a simple window recalibration via the service mode screen.)
Anyway, I asked the tech about all the suspension updates (early Gen 1 LE vs later Gen 1 23/24 vs Gen...
I test drove a 2025 Dual and it was almost indistinguishable in ride quality from my 2023 Quad. Although the Quad feels far more secure on windy roads due to torque vectoring which the Gen 2s lack.
yes, R1S was updated and late 2023/2024 models drive similar to Gen 2

I bought mine from CarMax. They allowed for a test drive and also had a 10 day money back return policy. However, late model Gen 1s are totally solid, mine was perfect from day one.
I demo’d a 2025 Dual and it had all kinds of problems (terrible audio, crazy loud HVAC fan, etc.) Gen 2 still...
Well the elephant in the room here is the price. You can still pickup low mileage Quads, in some cases effectively new (like this one 300mi https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/3231921?refSource=srp ) for $73K. These Quads come with all the things that are expensive extras on Gen 2 (I.e premium...
