that’s interesting, you’re the first person I’ve heard of who had their rear dampers replaced. The PT01123376-A is what the current Gen 2s have. I wasn’t sure if those were backwards compatible with Gen 1, but apparently they are. The left one PT00055237-E is actually what came with your car so...
My concern with that one is the very low vin (4810.) It’s almost a 2022 so unless the previous owner had lots of parts replaced, it certainly has all the older suspension components (dampers, air springs, subframe, etc) which are prone to ride quality issues, clunking, etc. it’s not till vin...
what’s your vin? These are very, very common issues. Most Rivian’s have at least a few of these quirks. They’re all fairly minor and honestly I think most people just don’t notice them as they’re fairly subtle. However, Rivian will correct them if you ask….
they will transfer cars from just about anywhere. Can be as little as $300, but cross country is more like $2K which can still be worth it for the right deal.
check out this Quad with just 481 mi

I have an Aug 2023 Quad that I got from CarMax for $73K, it had 350mi.
yes, I’d say you’re getting a decent deal but you didn’t mention how many miles it has. I still see Quads with sub 1K miles on CarMax and Carvana for less than what you’re paying so you may be able to get a lower mileage car...
Wow, it’s been a few months since a Gen 1 Quad with a.nice lease deal has been posted!

hmm…I just had an R1T loaner (built just a few months before my R1S.) I launched the hell out of it so had it in sport mode low quite a bit. Ride was very harsh, even the slightest bump was brutal.
Generally I agree that when in AP the ride is more planted in the R1T, but it wasn’t the huge...
I just had my R1S serviced for the first time. I mentioned to the tech that my front right tire had little clearance when parked. Lo and behold, the tech determined there was a leak in my air spring so they replaced my entire front suspension (dampers, air springs, and jounce lines.)
My 2023...
For those of us Quad owners with Bosch motors, I can’t help but wonder how many replacements they have stored away for future warranty claims. I, and many others, have 7 years left on our drivetrain warranty. That’s a long time and certainly there will be many claims. While the Bosch motors seem...
Seems that Gen 2 is actually worse in terms of quirks and glitches. they’re still ironing out the kinks, late Gen 1 2023/24 your best bet for reliability.
If I were to buy a new R1S I’d likely get silver. I currently have a limestone Quad (not by choice, just an an amazing deal.) I do like the limestone, but in Seattle where 2/3 of the year is grey skies it seems a little redundant. Many of the other colors are interesting too, but when I see them...
here’s your chance for the deal of a lifetime, CarMax misidentified this Quad as a Dual and is only asking $64K for it!

At that price I’d just take it, still has over 3 years warranty and relatively low mileage. Clean report and it’s a very late 2023 so it has the updated suspension.
yes, that’s precisely what I did. Seems like they have acquiesced and will cover these issues under warranty. I was just surprised they even tried to deny coverage as the issues were reported before 1 year. How is it my fault that I had to wait over three months to get a SC appointment? This...
well, that’s what I assumed. I was surprised they tried to stick me with a bill for issues I had reported before 1 year. When I pushed back, the response was “well, we’ll see what we can do.” That doesn’t sound like a firm policy….
