I don't think it will be long, that's why Tesla raised the prices on S/X a few weeks ago so they can introduce the next model at the same price points.
My bet is this quarter or very early next. No way they gonna Osborne their current S and X for all of 2025.

I hope Rivian gets the Gen 2 quad out soon. I would hate to see the Model X get a power bump and steal the spotlight. Also if they took the best aspects from both the X and they cyberturck and combind them into a real tesla SUV it could be a real competitor to the R1.

Right now the X is a minivan not an SUV, but it they revised to to be more SUV like, gave it 48v, rear steraring, Plaid power, Steer by wire, 800v I would be interested.

It's a three-owner 2023 (meaning buyer is the fourth owner in two years).

Have to wonder...
At that price I’d just take it, still has over 3 years warranty and relatively low mileage. Clean report and it’s a very late 2023 so it has the updated suspension.

The Model X is a Model X. Watch the unveil, it was designed, constructed, and delivered to be an electric minivan. It has had a Plaid powertrain since 2021 and I doubt 48v, rear steering and steer-by-wire are important to the 10-20,000 minivan buyers who purchase an X every year. I could see going from 250kw to 325kw charging, but honestly most are suburban crawlers with very occasional road-trips so almost all/possible all charging is at home on AC. It's not going to be anything other than what it is and that's perfect for a number of families.

The mid-sized SUV space where Rivian competes is much larger and competition is intense. Product differentiation is going to get harder as more competitors crowd onto the scene. Luckily, there is no Tesla play in the R1S space - they would have to launch a CyberSUV but given the current sales on Cybertruck I doubt this is coming anytime soon.

Should be an interesting few years ahead!

We have a 2019 X and it has free supercharging so it's hard to let go of. It also has a new battery since the original one died at 50k miles. My main issue is that the charging curve sucks.

My best guess is that the refreshed models will get 4680 batteries and 48V architecture, but mostly because the CT is a sales disaster and they probably have extra 4680 cells that they don't know what to do with.
The CT was the best selling truck last year FYI

Wow, big wooptido. They have factory capacity for 250k units per year and sold 40k, and will most likely sell about the same this year. My comment remains correct.

If they made a real SUV, I'd seriously consider it too.
