Then why inject yourself into it?
My definition of delivery, in which a vehicle left the plant, was delivered to a paying customer, and will get titled/registered by that customer (and not a MFG plate) is shared by...... Basically everyone from Wall Street, to lawyers, the DMV, car...
I was ridiculed in other threads for being adamant that deliveries had taken place, because the pessimists don't think employee purchases count.
I guess they count.
I'm far enough down the list where they MIGHT actually have it sorted out by then. Also, the Off-Road Recovery gives me hope. If they're willing to go out onto a trail for assistance, MAYBE they can make it to a paved parking lot in under 5 hours.
except I bought it when I lived in MA, and had moved to ME.
and also, while the media is praising Tesla for beating the chip shortage, they're not talking about how Tesla cut corners using SD Cards to do it.
The attitude in this place is amazing. First, we clamor to find out anything possible about these trucks, and see them in the wild.
Then, someone in the wild posts that they have their truck, and you people get mad that it's not the right person.
Someone put their own plates on a truck that...
This is stupid. My posts keep getting deleted.

LMAO, i'm having Model 3 flashbacks. But sometimes, you have to pull yourself back from your self-perceived "entitlement" to know everything, everywhere.
The reality is, it's still a private company. There are deliveries taking place. They count, since the vehicle will be titled and registered...
This one is a weird call for me, and it will probably depend on when I get my R1S.
My Tesla left us stranded in a hot parking lot in August, and I got the "get rid of it or I will" vibe from my wife. If we lived closer to a Service Center, and the whole experience wasn't a complete...
My $10,000 is going into the IPO.
Not saying there's any equivalency whatsoever, but if you had put $10,000 down on the Tesla IPO, you'd be sitting at a little over 2 million dollars today.
?
The good part for me is that our southbound adventures are all downhill for the 1st 70 miles after leaving the house, so I'll be able to feather the pedal and save some of that juice for the back end of Leg 1.
Thoughts on Nav/Android Auto/CarPlay.
Driving an EV, from a brand new company, is a different experience for a lot of people. Some may not be familiar with charging stations, where to find them, etc......
If you run out of electrons in your Rivian while using Apple Maps to navigate, who are...
absolutely. just got rid of it, but I was going weeks at a time driving in-town getting 200Wh/mi in a 2020 Performance X with 20s on it, thanks to stop and go traffic and hills.
I wouldn't say a lot, because now the other two motors that are off become dead weight, but hopefully the efficiency of the two motors that are in use can overcome most of that
I'd be willing to drive, too, but I think my decision is ultimately going to come down to reliability and service. I may sit back for a while and see how it all plays out.
