  1. An idiot hit us in “ Small overlap front collision” and I assume totaled my R1T [Updated with pic of damage to other truck ?]

we have USAA. We looked at the 120% option, but that option alone doubled the cost of the yearly insurance payment. We decided it wasn’t worth it.
  2. 4/20: Tesla INCREASED prices on Model S/X. (Lol)

Here around us in Southern California, they tend to be $0.34-$0.52/kWh and we drive 15k-20k per year. It would easily make up for the $2,500. not saying I’m going to pull the trigger. But makes it much more tempting. We’ve actually found driving the R1S is MORE expensive to drive per mile than...
  3. 4/20: Tesla INCREASED prices on Model S/X. (Lol)

I would pay $2,500 for unlimited Tesla supercharging for 3 years. They increased the price but are now including 3 years unlimited super charging. Seems like a fare trade. If they do the same to the Y I’ll order one immediately. Been looking for another vehicle.
  4. An idiot hit us in “ Small overlap front collision” and I assume totaled my R1T [Updated with pic of damage to other truck ?]

With all the windshield talk, I’m surprised your windshield didn’t break/crack in this accident.
  5. Does Gear Guard have interior sensors?

Yes. There is an interior sensor and yes the dogs will set it off. With pet mode enabled the sensor alarm won’t go off.
  6. New Software Update: 2023.10.02 Just Got Pushed OTA

Interesting. This was the fastest one yet for us. Last one took a full 90 mins. So was expecting the same for this one. But ours finished in 20 mins.
  7. Seatbelt prematurely fraying

Got a call from service same day I submitted the ticket for the seatbelt. They told me the week after Easter (next week) their schedule was wide open and I could come in any day of the week at any time of day to get this fixed. I scheduled my appointment for next week…. … 30 mins later, another...
  8. Seatbelt prematurely fraying

    ? I’m pretty much boardshorts, cotton t-shirt, and flip flops 24/7… don’t think that’s the issue. ? ?️
  9. Seatbelt prematurely fraying

I would never have noticed except I was outside of the car and someone else had fastened their seatbelt to drive. When I drive I never look down at my seatbelt. It appears the seatbelt is rubbing inside the wall and causing it to fray quite badly. Our R1S has ~5,000 miles on it. We’ve had...
  10. Unable to sign in to app

We have 3 phones that can view Rivian details, location, charge level, submit tickets, etc. but only 2 function as keys. 100% agree they need to allow for additional phone keys.
  11. R1S rear door gap - fixable?

Our R1S has the same rear trunk / door gap. Seems to be par for the course with the R1S.
  12. Unable to sign in to app

Thankfully we had the credit card key with us. App isn’t working on any of our 3 phones. We would’ve been stuck without the credit card key.
  13. Ground Breaks on Laguna Beach Hub

Agreed. It’s a “cool” location. High visibility for tourists. But provides next to no benefits to actual Rivian owners and limited to no test drive potential. It’s a constant traffic jam at that corner all summer long and would make test drives a nightmare. Rumors are RJ bought a family home in...
  14. 3 Zone Climate Control?

So far for the R1S it is 2 zones (1st zone 1st and 2nd row & 2nd zone 3rd row fan speed only)
  15. 3 Zone Climate Control?

No additional temperature controls yet. Just fan speed and turning on off the vents in the third row.
  16. And on the 1,497th Day...

Our rear seatbelts do this as well. It's like the tension in the seatbelt isn't strong enough to pull the seatbelt back into place. It's a problem with kids jumping in and out of the car for school and the seatbelt getting caught in the door. I wish they would roll up with more force to prevent...
  17. 2023.10.0 software update OTA released. Includes Tesla Supercharger network option and 12v battery draining issue fix

Can confirm it works! 3rd row has separate fan speed as well as turning vents on and off. This is a welcomed improvement!
  18. Putting the R1S to work

Fit a large plant that would have been too tall for the R1S by dropping the pot down the spare tire cavity (no spare tire).
  19. R1S Shop access live with lots of inventory!

this is the side of the building. The lot wraps around the rear and front. And there were more vehicles on the street. I would say 200 vehicles. 100 of R1S and 100 of R1T.
