EV tires have stiff sidewalls, so deflating is of limited use. We used to drive old school 50's Buicks & Olds on split rims and crap tires at 8 lbs. These heavy tanks never got stuck, due to the wide tire stance. Of course we lost a few to quicksand at the waterline. Good luck! Rely on the...
My 22 T large, will do that. First time it happened, they spiked to 290f, I called, they said not to be concerned unless it hits over 305f. Temps 100-150f are fairly typical.
As early adopters of these great vehicles, even after 3 fast years, we are a like-minded community. I always give a 2 fingered wave or a blink. Especially living here in the boondocks where I see maybe 2 or 3 a week. These folks not waving are simply....well....we know who they are. Enough said.
First time I used them, I stopped them raising both sides at once as the pucks were sliding on (and almost off of) their rubber clad jack beds. They re-adjusted and lifted it ok. One side at a time makes sense. I thought about cutting grooves in the puck heads, to grip the rubber, but haven't...
I noticed same in my quad T last week. Called & they took me in 2 days later in Richmond Va. Kept it a week, replaced the AC 'box' and drain, as well as the carpet. Great service, no charge, and a great dual 24 S loaner.
Well said. I have T #1648* off the line. No issues requiring shop or mobile visit in 37k miles, 2.5 years. These things are likely assembled 70%?? by robots, so human error is minimized. It's no longer like hand assembling a Mustang in the 80's. Many things can be resolved with OTA...
Good point. Go to Engineering Explained on YouTube. He does extensive explanations for both LNMC and LFP batteries. The only reason to go to 100% is to clear memory on LFP's for range calibration, only once in a while, if you insist on total accuracy.
Mine are 2 years old, showed rust on pipes full length, not due to any damage, after 1 year, masked & sprayed them with rustoleum, & doing fine. Flat plates are doing fine. But then I don't do many gravel roads either.
I have 2 Tesla universal wall chargers on 50A circuits at my hotel. The universal adapter fails on one of them much of the time, occasionally on the other. I often have to use my NACS to Rivian adapter.
I also have a Tesla NACS wall connecter that works perfectly for our Tesla, and a Tesla

This happened to me on a road trip, temps climbed to 275 and beyond. Called service and was told start worrying if temp exceeds 304f. Motors were warming the batteries, and was 'normal'. I haven't seen it since. This was when the detailed screen showing bat & motor temps was new, in 2023.
Quite a disparity....Best in Satisfaction, but least reliable. Our experience with both a 21 Tesla Y and a 22 R1T, a combined 70k miles, with wonderful driving experience, and with no service calls or issues not corrected by the next update. Cannot wait to add a R2 when it's built ! As...
I'm riding on them in Blue Ridge Mountains in Va., 29,000+, and still looking good for maybe another 15,000. I know I'm an anomaly. I rotated f to b twice, due for another. Mostly highway driving & some back roads, launching now and then. The tires in the pics look like they are dry, and...
