The underlying technology exists, but the current versions of FSD simply arenāt there yet. They arenāt economical enough to serve as a consumer-ready solutionāand thatās kind of expected.
Thatās not the central issue here. The concern goes beyond whether the system can meet consumer...
I think that's the key distinction and what you might not be getting.
Tesla delivered on their claims, Rivian has explicitly said they are not going to deliver. It's not the same. Tesla swapped hardware, Rivian, with all the other changes, is unable to do so.
I'm not bothered by youājust laying out the facts for anyone who comes across your relentless forum posturing.
Fact 1: You seem to spend more time on this forum than anyone else.
Fact 2: You stubbornly refuse to acknowledge any fault on Rivian's part, insisting it's the perfect car simply...
Remember, this is the same guy who first claimed to be a truck driver and then conveniently became an 'executive' just to win an argument. He flips his profession and story more often than a politician changes positionsāit's laughably pathetic.
Your posts are a masterclass in blind fandomāthey read like a Rivian fan-fiction where owning the car magically erases any hint of error. Yet, youāre still too busy denying the very real quirks of your purchase. Apparently, you get all your engagement by wholeheartedly applauding every Rivian...
I think you're confused. My point was the individual that is constantly tearing people to shreds and acting like an internet cop spends a lot of time on here.
I was debating between a dual or quad. I really don't need that much power but, I was told that I could not get any of the extra drive modes in anything but the quad.
That seems to have been inaccurate š
I think dual would have been more than fine for my needs and I could have saved a ton of cash.
Hire an attorney, start a lawsuit, and you might be surprised to see what happens. I'm going through it currently, DM me if you want. My situation is a tad different though.
I don't disagree with you, but this is pretty cut and dry as far as precedent and, the law is concerned. Rivian did what they did, and have made absolutely 0 efforts to make it right with existing customers.
I personally wouldn't do this but I do wonder what the risks associated with using this "Android-based hardware device?" Specifically:
Might Rivian detect this modification and void the vehicle's warranty?
This reminds me of ECU unlocking/tuning for traditional vehicles, but updated for the EV...
Some enthusiastic CR-V driver was frantically waving and flashing their lights at me like we were long-lost friends. I wasn't sure if my vehicle was spontaneously combusting, if I was about to meet my doom in a speed trap, or if they'd simply consumed their body weight in sugar and needed to...
Seems to have already been started by a group of owners.
I got a call 2 weeks ago from some office out in California. I haven't called back but when I tried to work directly with Rivian almost a year ago they told me to pack sand. I truthfully could care less about the "fsd" or whatever the...
I thought about this, but isnāt auto ride height only active at speeds 45 mph and above? I keep it in AP drive mode with auto ride height enabled, but the car has only been on the highway once (9K miles in over 2 years ?). Itās mostly driven around town.
I do have kneel mode turned on, so when...
