I would buy that as well! I already requested 2nd/3rd row. I'll put in a request and also mention it to them when at the store.

I found it interesting that our delivery specialist made it a point to tell us the battery warranty (degradation) covers you even if charging to 100% daily.
After the tour, they drove us back in a R1S. You have to pass through a security gate and there is a lot of construction. Once paperwork was completed, the delivery specialist drove us back up front in our R1S.
I'm close to Peoria so I'm checking around (only a few that do Xpel). I had Ztech in Naperville do our MY. They are a 3M installer. They did a good job but too far away if I needed anything. I'll post who I use and the experience if I decide to do it.
It was hard to tell honestly. The staging lots around the factory were bursting at the seams. I asked if there was a bottle neck (getting trucks/train cars) and the guide stated that the lots turned over every 48 hours. I am still a bit skeptical lol.
Highly recommend it. The tour was a lot of fun. Delivery center is in a weird spot behind the building. Got to see train cars loaded up with Rivian's on the way back to grab the R1S.
Thanks! They basically just have a form an employee can fill out if they have a relative or friend that has an order. You are basically saying you are flexible on color/configuration and can pick up in Normal. We were signed up a long time ago but I think they wanted to move inventory...
There was only LE in the shop when I had access. We got access due to friends and family. Bonehead move getting the stock wheels. I blame it on my wife as I was showing here the options and that is what she picked.
We took delivery of our LE R1S earlier today. We did the tour and got to see the factory in action. I've been there a few times for family events so this is the first time production was happening. Overall a great experience with a great tour guide.
We then went back to the delivery center...
*Friends and Family got access to shop over the past few weeks so that is why I got shop access
3/14 - Access to shop granted
3/20 - Vehicle selected, immediately assigned a VIN (6660), 8 steps opened up (7/8 complete)
Waiting on the last step to open up so I can schedule delivery at the factory
I'm glad I am not the only one that was caught up in this game. I was trying to find the pattern too (which led to me being unproductive at anything else). It always seemed to populate when I was busy and couldn't multitask. I was in the garage last night when I refreshed my phone. I had to...
We were signed up for the friends and family. That is why we got shop access last week. It is a great color combo. We've been all over the place on what to get and this fit the bill.
That is disappointing on the model year but great you got a LE! I had to double check my VIN as I didn't even consider it could be either. Ours is a 2023 but with a cost - cursed VIN (has 666 in it). It already has started great as the State Farm website locks up when trying to replace a...
