When you get your insurance policy with Rivian's VIN# showing, maybe they'll accept that. Probably not, but worth a try.
I was originally going to use Plaid, but it didn't play well with Discover Banking. I ended up placing a Wire Transfer yesterday. My 8 Steps showed pending, but completed...
My experience:
Paul, you'll need to give the VIN No. to your insurance agent, so he can place the Rivian on your policy, to show you have coverage prior to delivery. The agent should then give you a new card, or temporary. My agent emailed my proof back immediately, showing the Rivian is now...
Thanks @sevengroove. Good idea. I changed imminent to some, only because I don't know for sure who all has been contacted, but I would guess you're correct.
Worked like a charm. Thanks for the heads-up. Using Chat, as you did, I was told I had been assigned a Guide and would be contacted in a few days. I couldn't get a definite answer what a few days meant. However, I just got contacted with a scheduled call in the morning. I guess a few days...
Congratulations @TXRIV ! No contact here though. I'm not far behind you preordering. You said you got a call. I was told I would receive an email first. The only way I receive calls is from my contact list. Maybe they'll leave a voice message. I'm about 85 miles from Dallas, so hopefully...
You have a good point here. However, I would think that would only apply, if you didn't know in advance of the IPO, about needing to raise prices. Rivian's excuse will be that ramping up production, along with inflation caused the large increase, discovered after the IPO. It will need to be...
I'm in the same position and I still want my R1T also. But,.......
To anyone:
Are the chances good that Rivian will survive, if they lose this lawsuit and the one with Laura Schwab?
What happens if Ford, Cox, and Amazon unload their shares?
Thank you both for taking the time to go by and providing the update! Looks like my March/April estimated delivery date will be delayed, unless they drop mine off on the way to Austin, or Houston.
Thanks. I figured it would be Houston, as I believe they're pretty far along with construction, or maybe even completed. I'm closer to Dallas, but I don't think they've done much there.
