Have there been any public statements from Rivian regarding what they will do with LTE going forward? Specifically, how long are they going to pay for access to Spotify, Nav and any other app that requires a connection? I can't imagine that they plan to pick up the tab indefinitely.
Everyone has their take. I tend to be much more cynical. I got a new VW Atlas recently as my company car. Yes, I know it’s an apple to oranges comparison. But it was so incredibly delightful to get in the car for the first time and have my phone connect wirelessly and have a multitude of...
Yeah well they also said they’re going to offer up a deep integration with our phones to rival Apple and Google, so I take what they say with a grain of salt. I can’t see how they’d update the camp speaker without a hardwired connection to a PC, but what do I know.
Yes I have a ticket open. The first recommended remedy was to replace the latch in the camp speaker tunnel. That didn’t work so it’s back to square one. I personally believe the speaker needs a software or firmware update and they don’t seem to have a way to do that.
I’ve had mobile service look at the issue twice and they were able to recreate the problem earlier this week. It has elevated to the engineering team and I’m waiting to hear back on next steps.
I just had a mobile service on this exact issue. After use, I dock the speaker, phone shows "disconnected" and I (and mobile tech) think all is good. I get back in the house and make a phone call and low and behold my phone has reconnected to the speaker that's docked in the truck. They're...
When my R1T needed some body work the traditional, insurance-blessed body shops couldn’t even put an estimate together because Rivian wasn’t even in their online estimating system. I take this release to say that Mitchell now has the Rivian vehicles in their system allowing for easier repair...
And I’ve said it many times, you don’t have to use CarPlay if Rivian implements it. Many of us want it and mounting a phone in a $90k vehicle is absurd. Don’t like this issue being raised again? Don’t read the forums.
I don’t have a launch model either but somehow got a wrist band and it works. There’s nothing special about a launch model that makes a wrist band work. It’s just RFID like the fob and key cards.
Mine went dead after a few months. Opened a ticket and tech came out and replaced it. He pointed out that if the flash light is on when it’s docked and subsequently turns off that it is an indication that it is charging.
Just had my first mobile tire rotation from Rivian. Tech showed up in a full size commercial van instead of the usual R1T. I have the spare so he rotated that one in. Once they were all back in place he checked pressure in all of them and we did a quick test drive to make sure the sensors...
There has never been an officially record temp of 100 in Tampa but we’ve come close. Not so sure I’m out of the woods. I’ve definitely seen the temp in my garage in the upper 90s.
Based on that article, I’m concerned. It’s 84 in my garage right now and it’s just March. Friend just suggested insulating the garage doors as a first step and see if that keeps it out of the danger zone.
