I posted this on another thread but figured it might be better to give the topic its own thread.
I have seen a bunch of people mention (half joking I think) that they want to buy property near a service center to get faster delivery of their vehicle. Many years back, I came across a service...
On the topic of buying property near a service center...many years back, I came across a service that made people Scottish lords. Apparently in order to be a Scottish lord you only have to own property in Scotland. So this company bought property in Scotland and sold square foot pieces with a...
After reading this entire thread, I feel like I've kind of hit the R1S lottery. 10/20 preorder LE LG FE 21" wheels, 105 miles from Chelsea MA service center. Feb-Mar 2023 is a stone's throw away. I wonder what pushed me ahead of so many others.
Has anyone tried this DuPont Snow and Ice Repellant on their headlights? I just did some quick searching and found this. Seems like a possible solution for headlight buildup.

You better confirm they're offering you the R1S, not the R1T. With all that switching back and forth between the T and S, I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow got your current configuration mixed up. I hope I'm wrong, but it seems strange they would be offering a 2/21 adventure R1S order this...
Thanks for posting. I haven't seen actual R1S photos before. They look pretty good. I really like the rivian customization. I think I'll wait to see how the weathertech mats look before I decide which I'll get.
I didn't see L2 in your original post, but now that I've reread it, I do see your mention of a "charging station". My bad.
Though not germane to this thread, anyone looking for a good plug-in extension cord when traveling, I found that one for road trips.
I test drove the C40 and XC40 last week with my wife. They are really small and the interior is cheap feeling, not nearly as luxury as the XC90. We were disappointed. We also drove the BMW iX Xdrive. That was a great car, inside and out.
I got the email yesterday from Volvo announcing the EX90. I was curious. I just bought a late-year '22 Volvo XC90 and paid $80k for it. The EX90 is going to be MUCH more expensive. And unfortunately the XC90 is just too small for my family of 6. The R1S is a superior car at a lower price, a...
This is one of the most discussed topics on this forum. The decision has been a struggle for me. I have a launch edition R1S pre-ordered, which gives me a free upgrade to either 20s or 22s. And I've had two years to deliberate.
I had always been firmly in the 20" off-road tire category (for...
I'd really like to know how 2nd row car seats affect 3rd row access. VW Atlas had excellent 2nd row seat movement to allow easy 3rd row access. However, my new Volvo XC90 is awful. One of my older kids has to climb through the back hatch to access the 3rd row, and I really hope I don't have to...
