I got the low profile billet tie down cleats installed. They are pricy but offer more tie down points and they are much more solidly attached to the rails. Also clearance is great, they match the profile of the rails.
Amazon knock off toyota cleats also worked and clear the power tonneau.
If you're looking to add some more tie down points this might be an option for you. I was missing the versatility of the rail system on my previous Tacoma. I do track days and have to haul a lot of gear with the tail gate down. I ended up buying the 3 tacoma bed rails, end caps, and m6 bolts...
Revolution my ass, ford did this 2 years ago with the lightning. Zero features from the concept. By the time this is out the gen 2 dedicated ev lightning will be close. The way more "revolutionary" silverado and gmc will be on the road as well. Ram is trying to play catch-up. Ladies and...
My vin 8k developed it around 1k miles. Sc greased up the shafts. Tocking went away, came back at 4k miles. 2nd sc visit, tech said its normal no repairs approved. I hope a long term fix/recall comes out.
Up for trade, my 22 inch bright spare for any 20 At spare. I swapped to 20 AT brights awhile back and would like an AT spare. I'm located in the Los Angeles area. Willing to meet up half way if your in socal.
Rivians track record for being on time, lets just say not the best.
That said, you might be on to something. They have been aware of tonneau issues sense mid 2021. The early press cars had them disabled and people were told not to film them in operation.
I really dig it over all. But I was expecting the production truck reveal not a concept. No battery specs, range, hp/torque disclosed. No reservations. Why show a concept then reveal the production model later in the same year. Just wait and show the production truck. Ram is just setting up...
Got a beanie and a touch up pen. My wife said I'm always yelling at my kids to stop touching my truck. Now you can use the pen when they inevitably scratch it.
I'd like to see a bed rail system with sliding tie-down cleats similar to the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier. That's a feature I really miss from my taco.
