I just did Yankee Boy Basin and the Alpine Loop and will be glad to see more chargers.
I used the one in Lake City (right where Engineer Pass meets town) and it was a 62.5 kW ChargePoint charger. It worked great.
I didn't find any chargers in Silverton.
Ouray had 2 brand new ChargePoint...
My plans are fluid. Leaving Thurs morn, coming home Sun. Possibilities are Crystal Mill, hike into Blue Lakes, Yankee Boy Basin, and Alpine Loop and/or Imogene (though open to others). I haven't been down that way in 7 or 8 years, so it's like it's all new to me again. I'll DM my cell if...
I got this one, and have been very satisfied. AmazonSmile: nzonpet 4-in-1 Dog Car Seat Cover, 100% Waterproof Scratchproof Dog Hammock with Big Mesh Window, Durable Nonslip Dog Seat Cover, Pets Dog Back Seat Cover Protector for Cars Trucks SUVs - Black : Pet Supplies
I picked it because of...
I have an full-spectrum converted Sony A7R IV. That means it can photograph infrared and ultraviolet, as well as visible light (most cameras have filters on the sensor that block UV and IR). I often run an infrared filter at 850nm to filter out all the UV and visible wavelengths. I took some...
Xtrusion Overland. I picked it up used from an F150 owner, cut it down, and figured out how to mount it to the R1T. I'm trying to work with them to see if they are interested in a bolt-on solution.
Decided to try a totally different approach, light pipes. I got a couple of pieces of acrylic and am going to try and "redirect" the lights to below the rack crossbars. Would still prefer and electric solution, but I gave up on figuring out the wiring.
This is what I put on the outside of my sunroof. PPF Paint Protection Film Glass Sunroof Clear Bra VLT70% UV99% Block W – EzAuto Wrap
The IR filtering was already good, but this made it just a bit better.
Tinting the windshield had a bigger effect.
I'll make a thread here about the rack later this week. I'm waiting to hear back from a company to see if they want to produce it. In the meantime there is a thread with more description and pics on Rivian Stories.
That'd be great if they made a towing override for this scenario. It's not my...
I then tried tapping into the brake pin on the trailer plug (without touching any other pins) and as AltaTruck said, the truck then asked if I wanted to switch to towing mode.
I did some more surgery, and am even more puzzled. I pulled the right rear light assembly so that I could get to the connector. Here's what I found.
Black - ground
Red -hot, 13.5v. It reads even when the truck is locked and "off"
Green/White - 2.73v
Blue/White - 2.26v
Those last two have me...
Thanks for the replies. Trailer wiring doesn't help, and I've done a bunch of searches with no matches to this combination of colors. I tried putting pins through the insulation yesterday before posting, and using a circuit tester, but one wire had constant power, and another caused a fault on...
I know that this is a serious long shot, but does anyone have a wiring diagram, or knowledge of how Rivian uses color coding on their wires. I'm specifically looking for the 4 wires to the right rear tail light. The wires are black, pink (I'd generously call it red), blue with a white stripe...
$800 for the 5 windows using high end 3m film at an installer I've used before. I made a mistake on my earlier post (since fixed). I had 25% Ceramic IR on the 2 front windows, and 90% Crystalline on the back 3.
$200 for the windshield at a different place that did a decent job. They used...
I no longer
I'd previously been told by 2 different DMV employees that I'd need to surrender the custom plates and get new ones made. The last person said that I didn't need to do that, so I was able to put my old plates on right away. I honestly liked the last answer best.
The factory tint is in the glass and can't be removed. You can add another tint like normal. I added 3m 90% ceramic to the rear 3 windows to make them darker and help keep the cab cooler. I also put 25% on the front door windows, 70% on the windshield, and 70% on the roof (PPF on the outside...
