LOL. Now you want to split hairs on the legal definition of bait and switch. You sound like a Rivian mole. All your posts now make perfect sense. Have a great day
Sounds like you are fine getting jerked around and having your time wasted. I am not. In the end, they have $200 of my money, and I don't have the service that I thought I paid for. Which means one of two things when I call Monday. Both scenarios, was due to poor Rivian communication/execution...
The wife picked it up, it was at closing. They said "everything will be in the app and emailed"
What we signed showed $0.00 because it initially went in for warranty issues. As it got closer to the date, I looked on their website and saw that the maintenance schedule had a 22,500 comprehensive...
Who cares. I didn't want a walk around inspection for $200. I would not have consented if they would have told me that. That is like walking into McDonalds and saying "I will take the #2 meal" and you pay for the #2 meal and then they give you a Happy Meal.
You clearly don't understand my point. I have tried explaining using an analogy. I will try once again.
You go to a steakhouse and see the A5 Wagyu on the menu for $200 and say you want it. Your waiter (Rivian) says, "we changed the menu, and this is not the A5 anymore, it is just a basic...
The issue is that when I made the service appointment, the comprehensive inspection was still active. That is what I paid $200 for and confirmed. If at any point, anyone from Rivian would have said "there is a $200 fee for the multi point inspection and a tire rotation" I would have said no...
I don't think you understand. There are 2 completely different products. Has nothing to do with the language on the website. The comprehensive inspection involves the car being put up on a lift.
I told them "I want the 22,500 comprehensive inspection", they said OK that is $200. I paid $200. I...
I actually saw it in my app in or online around Christmas and that is why I had them add it. Car had 23000 miles and Rivian was 2 hours away and they were keeping it for 7+ days anyway, so I told them to just do that. Now, whether the lady on the phone heard "inspection" and not " the 22,500...
The odd thing for me was that when we added the inspection over the phone, there was no type of confirmation except a sort of "sounds good, we can add that". I even asked her "Seems like we should have something in writing that shows exactly what is being done to the car since we live 2 hours...
Just looked on Discount Tire and see that there is another option. Toyo Proxes STIII. Anyone have these? $249/tire and the tread pattern looks pretty cool.
You know there are 2 different inspections, right? I asked for and paid for the "comprehensive" inspection that Rivian recommends at 22,500 miles. It is much more in depth and includes putting the car up on a rack and checks the suspension, halfshafts, tie rods, replaces the cabin air filter...
R1S had a battery warning in November. Scheduled a service appointment for Dec 27th (earliest available even though car said "go to a service center immediately") in Houston. Car has 23000 miles, so we told them to add the 22500 mile "comprehensive inspection". They quoted us $200. We agreed...
On side note, do you only have electric vehicles? We thought about R1S and Y but weren't sure about going all electric. R1S definitely doesn't have the charging infrastructure that makes me comfortable enough to take a long trip
The issue is that Rivian is trying to compete with Tesla, so I was hoping that they would at least meet or better yet, exceed my expectations. Now that it is clear they cannot do that then they can at least do what they say right? That is not a lot to ask right as a consumer that patiently...
