You literally said that 5-10% of the time they're dying in an intersection (or some other catastrophic failure state). That's not true for 5-10% of the time people spend driving them, and it's definitely not true for 5-10% of owners.
I'm just responding to what you wrote.
Those statistics aren't even close to accurate tho. If that were true then I'd have 500 miles worth of 'complete failure state' on my odometer, but I've actually got 0 miles of 'complete failure state'.
The real statistic for amount of time one ends up in some sort of complete failure mode is...
Have you verified it persists in all suspension heights? Could be due to the suspension being lowered down. My truck isn't with me to go look but I've never noticed it, at least.
I'll take 2.5 R1S' instead, please.
Tho the test drive I did in a Taycan was quite fun. Got some good video of me blowing past people on the highway at 160 :D
I'm 6'1" and always wearing a hat. No issues in the back of my R1T. Only spent a few hours back there but there's ample space in all 3 directions for me. Really confused by people who are my height or close to it saying they felt cramped. It's got more legroom than any vehicle I've ever owned...
That's crazy. When I was a youngster I worked on a manufacturing line that made ignition sets and I worked the detent machine specifically. It was considered the most dangerous machine to work and required the most skilled operator on that specific line. The actual mechanism of the machine had a...
Have you noticed any changes in wind noise with the roof rack? One part that I've heard causes wind noise commonly is the applique between the windshield and the glass on the roof, where it'll be more depressed on one side than the other (it's like that on mine) and that causes extra wind noise...
Law wouldn't last long anyway. No major manufacturer is going to keep making ICE vehicles long into the future to support a few low-population states amongst the globally accelerating shift to EVs. If MS continues down this path, there will come a time in the not-so-distant future that there are...
FWIW the plastic trim issue is present on every R1 I've ever seen, including mine. It's just the way they fit, I doubt the SC will fix that up much.
Maybe I'm wrong though - I haven't asked them to fix mine since I've not seen any without it yet.
Eh, you won't out Baja a TRX or Raptor, but at the same time, most of the trails around me are way too narrow to fit either of those down, so in my area at least, you're not going to out off-road an R1T because you simply can't get to half the places the smaller form factor can.
Different...
I'd agree with @Sgt Beavis but also reinforce the caveat that it really depends on conditions. On a well-worn forest service road, I'd only air down a little bit, maybe halfway between to 40psi. For any serious trail with big rocks/boulders, or any sort of slippery/watery situation I'd air down...
Unrelated but I've hit a 150kw EA charger at a local Walmart twice in the last week and both times I'd get 150kw for about 10 minutes and then the station itself would throttle me down to 38-40kw and won't rise above it no matter how long I'm plugged in for. Truck indicates it is the charger...
