To me, this is one of the biggest drawbacks of these integrated systems. Waze + Apple are invaluable for those alerts. I'm also seeing wildly inaccurate traffic on MapBox... I like HereWeGo because it makes it easy to plan and save complex multi-waypoint trips and even completely offline...
Interesting. I was able to format a 2TB Samsung T7 Shield to FAT32 in < 30 seconds on my MacBook Pro. I also uploaded ~500 GB of music in <5 minutes in anticipation of future USB audio. These are pretty impressive little drives.
They're all over the Bay Area. I see another Rivian almost every time I go out. Most drives I see a few. I see two almost every time I drop off my son, another R1T (yellow) and a R1S just in the school lot dropping off their kids.
10% cost for 20% more range. That's not terrible, but if you're looking for cost/benefit on range ($/mile), the wheels and tires are the way to get there.
I was a max pack + quad pre-order. There are times I would like the extra range, but I decided a truck now + more acceleration is much...
I went with Kavaca PPF (Ceramic Pro) from California Detailing in San Francisco. No regrets. Also had it ceramic coated at the same time. They did a great job. I checked out some local XPEL installers too, but they didn't seem quite as compelling (the product or the installers).
Mine has Meridian. 18 vs 20 speakers doesn't matter. When people go aftermarket, they often remove rear speakers entirely and go with a really good front setup + subs. Removing one rear door speaker per side should make almost no difference. I'd much rather have one real subwoofer vs. 2...
I went with the BrainExploder. It fit perfectly using the factory plastic plate frame, I can't see it on my 360 cameras, and it doesn't impact the sensors at all. On my wife's car, we went with license plate stickers (now legal in CA).
Ditto the above. My wife uses a Chargepoint flex for her XC40 recharge. I used it for my Rivian's first home charge. Working on adding a Rivian charger to the other side of the garage.
Personally, I'd love to retrofit a power tonneau to mine using that space. If that's not possible, a manual tonneau, subwoofer box (looks like the cabin vent could be used to port this into the truck), tool box, or the other ideas here are quite good.
Are you still happy with the coating/wrap?
Did you order replacement badges from the local Rivian Service Center?
I'm expecting my Rivian this month and am trying to plan protection. After reading your thread, I sent California Detailing a message last night. They emailed me this morning...
The wishlist has potential, but since it doesn't let you login to add your feedback on the requested Rivian features or submit feedback about the broken website login function, it's not terribly useful.
I wonder if these would work. 1/2" thick according to Home Depot.

I had a BendPak HD-9XW, HD-7P, and HD-9TG in my last workshop. All had 100" of rise which meant you could walk or drive under them in a SUV without worrying about hitting anything. If I had the space, I'd do these 4-post lifts again in a heartbeat. They give you a bit more room to work than a...
