I'll be very happy if I get 20k+ miles. I've been averaging 10k on rear tires and 20k on front tires on my CTS-V and old S2000. I bet if you buy any other 600+ hp SUV, you'll see similar tire life.
I think it all depends on what your frame of reference is and what you're expecting.
IMO, the interiors of the R1T and R1S are luxurious, but they're also simple and intended to be somewhat rugged. To me, it's a really good balance for a truck and the polar opposite of most trucks on the market...
I think one of my dogs tore up the bottom of one of my door panels. That's really not a great place for a relatively weak vinyl... I'm used to touch surfaces being nice, but scuff surfaces being durable.
The door sills are similar. Mine were scratched and touched up before I even took...
Mine's on order with pre-March pricing. Rivian called me and it was pretty easy to work out. They asked when I had placed my order, whether I had ordered the spare, and if I had a confirmation. After confirming pre-March and providing proof that it was in my order before they removed it, my...
Wow. My wife's XC40 is rated for around 224 miles of range. We regularly and easily get 200+ out of it in spite of me driving like an idiot.
My Rivian isn't quite as accurate, but I drive fast enough that I don't expect range to correlate 1:1 when I'm doing 85 nor do I care because 280+...
If that was $150 per month, then it might make sense. Between the power costs, personnel/time costs, and equipment, $150 a month to keep a relatively stationary EV charged is not unreasonable. If it's per repair even if the repair takes a couple of days and then they inflate by a quantity of...
I am glad to see that these are in-house now. I had an earlier Phone Ball Mount Pro that melted a month or so ago once the weather got warm (the sub-vendor issue mentioned in your email). I'll have to look at replacing it with the new Evo mount.
My relatively new Liftmaster also programmed the first try. I was done in < 1 minute. I followed Rivian's instructions, never pushed any buttons on the opener itself, and only held down the remote button once. Every other car I've ever programmed has been significantly more difficult. I was...
I exploded a bike tire from this. I expected the setpoint to stick rather than having to be re-entered every time. Not sure who thought this was a good design idea.
I received the email, and of course it used an 11+ month out of data address that hasn't been in my Rivian account for over a year. I took delivery of my R1T to my new address ~4 months ago. Clicking Change just brought up my new address and no ability to edit the incorrect old one from the...
Where did you go? California Detailing in San Francisco does wrapped edges for their Ultimate Armor package. I had mine done there and haven't noticed any issues yet, although my truck has been at Rivian South San Francisco for half of the time it's been wrapped... I didn't see any issues on...
IMO, this video shows off how bad business cases/decisions make their way to the market. Somebody in management needed to come up with a revenue stream or increased profit, and this was their way to get there.
Subscriptions are wildly unpopular with consumers. When people have...
I'm definitely going to talk with the tech in person when I pickup. If there's still any wheel vibration or alignment issues, I'll take it to a local tire shop with road force balancing and a good alignment rack.
I just got my third call from the service center in 24 hours. They escalated to their lead tech. He took a look at everything and did a test drive. Conclusion was some slight vibration at high speed, but everything is OK. My guess is that somebody new was doing the balancing and there was a...
I'll update later today when I have more feedback from the Service Center. I pushed back pretty hard last night when they called and asked for some justification/measurements/details.
I searched on here before posting and found no other complaints of bent wheels, but quite a few of vibration...
Has anybody ever had a bent wheel on their R1T?
I'm at ~820 miles. I just took mine in for service to fix a few minor issues including some slight vibration + pulling. The service center just called and said that all four 22" wheels are bent and recommends replacing them all. If not...
My math on this was basically the same. If the Max pack was confirmed to came with 800 V and faster charging, then I would have waited, but given everything you mentioned, getting a truck now was the easy choice for me.
