  1. R1T Subwoofer Area Photos and Measurements

Looks like an easy fit for a SI BM11 if you used a fiberglass enclosure. Wood might be possible too. https://stereointegrity.com/product/bm-11/ What I would love to see: A pair of SI BM 11 + a JL Audio VX1000/1i in the entire underseat space. I've used the VXi series previously and they're...
  2. 20" or 22" wheels for snow tires?

the Nokia LT3 match the OEM 20” diameter. They’re larger than the OEM 22” diameter. You can check the tire specs to confirm or go to a tire calculator on the web to see the exact impact.
  3. Cost of Wheels without Tires

That’s what their website says and they’re the OEM so they should know. They also offered other sensors that do require programming, so be careful not to buy those. I’ll find out in a couple of months once I install my winter wheels/tires. The earliest SC appointment to install my spare was late...
  4. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

That definitely lines up with what I'm feeling. There's a lot more fore-aft and side-side motion on bumps. The update reduces impact harshness at the expense of body motion. I agree with the other posts that a bit more granularity instead of soft/stiff would be appreciated.
  5. 20" or 22" wheels for snow tires?

I'm in a similar situation. I have 22's stock. I bought new 22's for my snow tires. I'll either use the Nokia R5 SUV if they're ever in stock again or the Michelin X-ice (much cheaper). The non-studded 20" Nokia's have reduced ratings vs. the 22's (European ENERG rating and SL vs. XL)...
  6. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

Did the update last night. The first thing I noticed was that bluetooth audio resumes playing automatically now. This is HUGE. It's great to be able to jump in and have audio working without needing to constantly go to the audio screen, press play, and hope for the best. This alone makes it...
  7. What Was Your Previous Daily Driver Before Rivian?

I swapped my daily drivers depending on mood, need, and what was running: 2013 Cadillac CTS-V (Stealth Blue Special Edition) and 2007 Saab 9-7X 5.3i (with a 6.6 liter LSA, 2.9 Whipple, 6L80E, and a lot more). https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B0s5oqs3qlcyRU I still have the Cadillac and...
  8. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

Installing now. I'm impressed with the overall level of continuous improvements and software updates. Unfortunately, navigation remains terrible. It's pretty and usually OK, but it seems like they got to 80% and called it good. Most of the little things that make a big difference in daily...
  9. PPF - Bay Area

FYI, I also went to California Detailing in SF. They did a great job.
  10. Cross country move options: tow cargo trailer with Rivian vs. ship Rivian, rent Uhaul ?

When I was younger, I did all of those. I towed a Uhaul behind my 9-7X, towed my wife's car behind my 9-7X, rented a Uhaul truck and towed a car behind it, towed my S2000 behind a truck on a Uhaul trailer, used auto transport companies, and used movers (all different moves). The worst ones...
  11. Nokian recommended tires (including winter snow tires)

275/60R20 are the same OD as 275/55R21 and 275/50R22. It allows someone with 21 or 22" wheels to run 20's without reprogramming.
  12. Cost of Wheels without Tires

Huf is now BH Sens / IntelliSens. The RDE232V26 sensor is the same as OEM, just without Rivian branding/part number. Lots of good info at their website including pictures and description of the OEM part. http://www.products.intellisens.com/Search/Result/29EA5D55A7580C72E8D6FDBBF35BB57E...
  13. Cost of Wheels without Tires

My quote was $2796 for 22" brights including center caps. When I heard TPMS was >$300, I bought the OEM ones for $120 online. Originally center caps were a second line item, but after additional checking, they realized they cam with the wheels.
  14. Poll: Cross shopping between R1S and others

I just configured a R1S Quad and a Model X Plaid. Very similar pricing now. I would still choose the R1S, but I certainly understand why others might pick a Tesla. IMO, Rivian pricing is still very competitive even with the recent price increases.
  15. EV Sportline Running Boards Rusting after 2 Months

These really need a zinc primer, galvanizing, or something similar under the top-coat. One coat powder coating or paint systems don't have significant corrosion resistance- and once they're scratched, they have none. The most durable/corrosion resistant systems are generally 3 part. Zinc...
  16. Accidentally left Pet Mode on for ~44 hours... battery consumption results

I've used Pet Mode a number of times, but I woke up this morning to a low battery warning. I had left it on for the last couple of days. I assumed that once I drove around it would have turned itself off (I thought it did this on previous software updates), but it didn't. I also don't...
  17. Difference between ChargePoint vs EV-GO?

ChargePoint may think they have a fair number of fast chargers installed, but they literally only have one within a few hours of the Bay Area. Normally I require a minimum PlugScore, but even with it turned all of the way down, they only have one. Here's Electrify America. And EVgo...
  18. Difference between ChargePoint vs EV-GO?

Electrify America and EVGo are the two main non-Tesla or non-Rivian fast charging networks. PlugShare and A Better Route Planner are the best ways to search /route plan. Rivian just bought ABRP and is integrating them into their app and trucks. ChargePoint and Tesla also have a ton of slow...
  19. Radar Detector hardwire, who has done it?

Just did my Valentine1. I used the smallest mirror tap and the mount listed below. The mirror tap wiring comes out near the rear view mirror stem. I mounted the mount sideways. When I had it mounted normally, it didn't allow full adjustability of the mirror and the radar detector hung way...
  20. Frame replacement needed after accident damage (R1S)

That's nuts. I'm in the Bay Area and my USAA is $693 per 6 months / <$1400 per year. $500 deductable and 300k/500k coverage. Of course I have a fair number of policies with them (over $3500 per year in auto insurance in total across 4x cars), a clean record, and my mileage is relatively low.
