  1. Camp Kitchen Frustrations? Anyone else?

I'm not remotely trying to imply that the camp kitchen team could solve any of the reasons for delivery delays. That's non-sense Rivian fan-boy talk. I know there is a chip shortage and I know almost everything is hard to do and get post-covid. I know the camp kitchen is not directly delaying...
  2. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

Great analogy! When I'm paying for a GC to remodel or build me a house and he chooses to mow my lawn instead of fixing the plumbing, yes it would frustrate me. Especially if he promised that I could move in months ago, yet I can't because I don't have working plumbing...AND then he goes on and...
  3. Camp Kitchen Frustrations? Anyone else?

In light of the most recent "update" we received, my frustrations regarding the camp kitchen are coming to a boil. I am convinced that the camp kitchen is nothing more than a distraction and marketing ploy. And more importantly, a complete waste of Rivian resources at this point in time. The...
  4. RJ Scaringe: first Rivian R1T deliveries delayed from July 2021 until September

Does the fact they spent so many resources on the silly camp kitchen bother anyone else? Especially with this "news"? Like utilize those resources better ffs. Spending countless hours and energy and money on producing an completely unnecessary bi-product when they can't even deliver the main...
  5. RAN Rivian Charging Stations Locations Map via Google Maps

Ah, that makes sense. I didn't think about that. But I still think they are missing the Texas market. I have been following Rivian for two years now and haven't seen any events, show rooms, or service centers announced in Texas. There might have been one in Austin, but that is it. And
  6. RAN Rivian Charging Stations Locations Map via Google Maps

The lack of Texas location is mind boggling to me. 1 out of 10 Americans live in Texas. It is the second most populated state in the entire country. And most of this population is in 5 cities: Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. It wouldn't be hard to hit these 5 cities hard...
  7. Vent, B!tch & Moaning for the mis-"Guided"

This is pretty minor, but the fact that the back seats fold "nearly" flat and that it is somehow a big revelation and big deal is utter non-sense to me. This shouldn't be a bonus feature. This is a no brainer and should 100% be expected. Car manufacturers have had rear seats that fold flat for a...
  8. Vent, B!tch & Moaning for the mis-"Guided"

Adding Removeable Roof! Not necessary, but VERY cool!
  9. Vent, B!tch & Moaning for the mis-"Guided"

You forgot the Hummer EV. Yes, there are some immediate knee jerk reactions when hearing "Hummer", but I would take a look at it. I hate the idea of owning a Hummer, but it looks seriously cool and has so many more practical features than the Rivian.
  10. 5 Seat versus 7 seat

THIS was my thinking. If the 5 seat and 7 seat versions are the exact same price, why not just get the 7 seat, and manually remove the rear 2 seats yourself after you but it? You basically get an extra 2 seats for free and have them in case that need ever arises. Or am I missing something?
  11. Bed step

I think you are missing the point. Yes, bed steps are fairly new. But before bed steps were a thing, you were able to stand on the rear bumper. Rivian has deleted BOTH the rear bumper AND any sort of bed step.
