I have also noticed regen is unavailable when set to 85% or 70% charge limit because it thinks the batteries are fully charged. It should allow regen when charged to the lower limits.
Why? The options outlined are the most economical way for Tesla to earn tax dollars without requiring changes to their current charger installation and upkeep strategy.
I agree with everything in your response. Both companies are going to make decisions based on the maximization of profits...
I would think Tesla would approach conversion this way.
1. Add CCS capable units when expanding any charging stations.
2. Add CCS capable units when creating new charging stations.
3. Add CCS capable units when replacing inoperable charging units.
4. Add CCS capable units at under utilized stations
Well it sucked today when I got behind this souped-up Audi he gunned it, I floored it, caught up and passed him. Before I know it we have hit 110 and he then proceeds to pass me with a big grin. I mean..... I don't need to go 110, but........... Audi
SLC service center is taking drive-ups. They had a Tech standing outside and somehow knew who I was as I pulled up. One other truck was in line and I was in and out in 5 minutes.
Thanks. We got them, but they never did provide the tracking information. The process definitely needs some work. Not bad if this is the worst thing I see with a start up. :p
I am still waiting on my registration too. Temp tags expired on 8/16. Rivian told me today that the DMV has it, they just don't know they have it. When asked for tracking information, they cannot provide it because registration is handled by a 3rd party that Rivian has no control over.
They are referencing this section
Vehicle/Hull Identification Number (VIN/HIN) Inspections
Inspections of identification numbers are required for all vehicles or vessels to be titled in Utah for the first time, unless the vehicle is new (MSO) and was acquired from an in-state dealer or in-state...
I completely agree with you. My issues have been with initiating the charge and have experienced moving from one charger to another at the same station only to see another brand vehicle pull up and charge with no issues. The main point of my post is without a proprietary network there are two...
This is why Tesla's charging network is so successful. What prevents the 3rd party charging network from saying the handshake failure is on Rivian's side? Most of my issues are with initiating a charging session. I have used Charge Point, EVgo and EVGateway (This one was new to me). All have...
Just a couple of points.
1. Free is fine, but charge a fee when the vehicle trickle charges and make it costly.
2. Place Chargers in the far corner of a parking lot.
3. Number 1 does not prevent unplugging and continued parking.
4. Number 1 does not prevent ICE vehicle blocking, but number 2...
I respect each of your rights to discuss AA and CP. There are threads dedicated to it. The issue most of us have is how it crops up elsewhere. I follow the threads that interest me and ignore the others. It makes it hard to be an active participant in this forum when topics are shifted...
