  1. EA Pass+ and pricing change update

This will kick in right after my return trip Boston to Denver, which is great for me. Can cancel on the 15th and pick it back up for next summer, if we don’t have supercharger access by then. FWIW, I have done 3k mikes in 3 weeks and I have found EA to be in good locations and reliable from an...
  2. Gear Guard - Surprise capture! ?

Funny, that is the same route humans take while checking out my Rivian. Slow walk up with head cocked in confusion followed by a brisk walk away. Then a return to the other end of vehicle for same.
  3. Wiper Courtesy Wipe on start -- any way to disable?

Opposite problem for me. Just drove through torrential downpours in ME and my wipers on auto would not wipe. 0 courtesy wipes. No wiping at all. Had to be my own wiper decision maker. Was nerve wracking. Kept asking myself “Is this a downpour or a storm?”
  4. Wiper Courtesy Wipe on start -- any way to disable?

Courtesy wipe can be nice, all depends on the wiper and wiping product.
  5. Infotainment Crashes Nonstop After Last Update

Haven’t set up my dash cam usb yet, but I did update to 2023.22.0 and have had to do infotainment reset multiple times as it won’t let me move to navigation screen from other screens. Just tries to load map and then defaults to prior screen. Reset fixes, but I think it’s been just about every...
  6. ? LIMESTONE R1S Photos

Happens to me frequently and only on week 3 of ownership. Admittedly driving it a lot more than most. First image from Kittery ME, second is somewhere in MO (charging at a cannabis store)
  7. Where did you install Home Charger?

I was going to say “on the wall”. Glad I’m not alone today.
  8. Cape Cod and Islands Owners

I am an EV neophyte and maybe that made me gleefully ignorant about the trip. I found day 1 through Kansas and W. MO to be stressful and ran into a whole charging bank in KS that was out of service. Made it to a 50kw in Manhattan with about 5% charge. From there, I got better at planning and...
  9. Cape Cod and Islands Owners

Thanks. Looking like I will just take a drive to the mall and charge up after I get the campsite settled. I know that electricity is not easily accessible at Nickerson. Have the in laws at a RV site, so maybe they will have some access. I appreciate the offer of recommendations, but this is a...
  10. Software Update 2023.22.00 looks like it's coming...

I just finished my update and it’s great to have a slightly better route planner but from what I see there remains no way to add a waypoint, and maybe more importantly, offers no option for choosing round trip planning. Not really helpful for me to arrive somewhere without a charger, 60 miles of...
  11. Software Update 2023.22.00 looks like it's coming...

I picked my S up last Friday and just got update pushed to me yesterday (after my 2k mile road trip). I have heard that if you have an outdated version of the phone app, that can delay delivery/push of the update.
  12. Cape Cod and Islands Owners

Colorado is taking over the Cape! We are out from Denver for the summer and will be camping starting tomorrow at Nickerson SP in our R1S. Excited to get it out on the Cape! Btw, great plate!
  13. We're OK, but our R1T is not..... rear ended accident

First, happy for you that they declared it a total loss. No one wants to be stuck with a severely damaged and repaired car. Depending on that check amount, you might be able to buy from a private seller and avoid having to get permission from Rivian to switch models. Just drove my R1S 2k miles...
  14. Stupid Idea? Probably

So I completed the trip (58 hours including sleeps) and returned the R1S to its true owner, which is apparently my wife. Learned so much and completely fell in love with it. Would have appreciated receiving the update before my trip instead of upon arriving in Boston, but I still made it. Some...
  15. R1S Platform/Flat Top Roof Rack Recommendations

Correct. Just using the back and front mount positions. No tent for me. More for an aluminum canoe, maybe a spare tire, and to protect the glass. I thought about going with 3 and using cut pool noodles on front and back to even out, but decided this was enough. Holding up great across country...
  16. Colorado Checking In

Seems like they are going to take care of it all. I am driving to Boston starting today, so if it gets worse they will squeeze me in there or I can get all the work done at once when back to Denver in august. Hopefully it holds up and can wait.
  17. R1S Platform/Flat Top Roof Rack Recommendations

So will save the delivery day drama for a time I feel like whining, but got the rack on this afternoon and it fits well. Would like it to be 90” instead of 84” long as is leaves a little front and back glass exposed and unused roof at the front . Probably only 1” on each end. Went on to the...
  18. Colorado Checking In

FYI to anyone taking delivery of a vehicle soon that is already at service center, they have had 2 hail storms come through. We took delivery today and I found two dimples on the hood at pre delivery walk around, but missed a small crack in the smaller roof glass panel caused by the hail until I...
  19. R1S Platform/Flat Top Roof Rack Recommendations

I will be able to tell you by Saturday night. Will post a picture and my thoughts. Picking up vehicle on Saturday and putting it on immediately for my Denver to Boston trip Sunday. Rack looks and feels sturdy, but corners are plastic which i have some concerns about long term. As long as it...
