  1. R2 Wheels Options, Tire Sizes, Width, Offset - Hub Bore Size - 19" and 20"

Most manufacturers have gone away from this tire size due to cost and option availability. So the market for a 21ā€ tire that can safely support a vehicle of this weight was non existent initially… now there are about 4 options for AS and 1-2 AT and again all higher in price due to lower...
  2. Gen2 r1s click noise when wheel turned all the way left/right at slow speeds

Good luck; once I submitted good video with solid audio they immediately did the work without question! Keep on em!
  3. Gen2 r1s click noise when wheel turned all the way left/right at slow speeds

I’ve had my washers replaced twice for this exact noise… Both fortunately under warranty! Each time it progressively got worse until repair…
  4. WTT 21' Rims and Tires for Any Other OEM Wheels

Well if anyone is looking for cheap spares I’m selling my 21’s individually and just outside the Nashville, TN area… DM if in need!
  5. R2 Wheels Options, Tire Sizes, Width, Offset - Hub Bore Size - 19" and 20"

I most certainly will never buy a 21ā€ wheel/tire option on a vehicle again. From early delivery of our truck there were no options available! Yes, now there are a handful but they are still significantly higher priced than the 20ā€ comparable. I found a set of 20’s for sale from another local...
  6. Wheel and tire selection

I second the above! I had the 21ā€ set on my truck and while I never got stuck in snow or mud it was certainly a more capable set up than the sportier 22ā€ set… I’ve swapped to the 20’s and won’t go back as there are a ton more tire options; I ride a ton of highway for work and have Michelin AS...
  7. Share your Rivian Mileage & Product Ideas – Win a Gift from BestEvMod

71,500 will be right at 3 years on the 23rd of Feb! Been amazing so far! I’d say a good product idea would be a better organization/divider system for the storage under the rear seat of the R1T.
  8. The sad tail of my R1S dual standard LFP...

LFP does not mix well with cold northern climate. That and cold soaking the battery on the bottom half of its charge state I think is what made it worse in this case… Still sucks you had this happen; I own an LFP M3 but we live in TN and the vehicles stay in the garage. We try to condition the...
  9. Noisy! 30K on Michelin Defender LTX Platinums (275/65/R20)

Agreed with the above I steered away from the platinum’s specifically due to the harder compound and tread pattern being reviewed as noisier than the MS2’s which have been great so far and comparable in noise and wear to the stock road 21’s I had originally on the truck…
  10. Anyone towing 6,500 lbs or more with any regularity?

Yea, the hard tanks in the rear are top fill and drain and hadn’t fooled with it… the soft center bag is top as well and tbh we didn’t get out that much this season like years past due to travel ball for two different teams and high school band schedule… I’ll get it swapped and drained before I...
  11. Anyone towing 6,500 lbs or more with any regularity?

Yes, dry weight is just over 3,600# our galvanized trailer is approximately 1,200# 50gal gas and approximately 300# of gear and crap also our touch screen went out recently that controls the ballast fill/purge with the 1,100# tanks full that I’ve not been able to purge yet… So yes normally it...
  12. Anyone towing 6,500 lbs or more with any regularity?

We tow a 6500lb boat when it’s fully loaded and fueled; the truck doesn’t even know it’s there and range is cut almost exactly in half with aero as mentioned being the biggest hit… 150-160 miles QMG1
  13. Michelin Defenders and warranty

Yea, I watch my tires very closely and have for years… Even wear and rotations every 5-6k are very important… I do a lot of highway for work but several launches and towed about 300-400 miles with a 6klb boat on those down to 2-3mm tread life… I should easily see 50k+ out of these…
  14. 58k miles/ 34 issues!

63k 2023 Gen1 Quad 2 ting washer replacements for knocking and one trim piece adjustment… I did find a factory stripped sub-frame bolt when installing my running boards that they replaced while it was in for the suspension check… All in about $250 in maintenance and just installed new Michelin...
  15. Michelin Defenders and warranty

Just got the Michelin’s installed 116h 275/60/20 and much smoother and quieter ride! I rode out my stock 21ā€ to 43k they performed fine. Replaced with a set of 20’s from another owner and the AT’s were noticeably worse all the way around… Got them w/20k and put 20k on them… So glad I’m back on...
  16. Tennessee, anyone?

I’m late to this thread but picked up my R1T in Feb’23 62k miles later this has been an amazing truck! I’m in Mount Juliet just East of Nashville but travel all over TN for work…
  17. Half-Shaft issue thread

Same the tech road in the parking lot of the service center and said that’s far enough. Washers were replaced at 47k and again this week at 62k. My concern now is they never considered even looking into the half shafts or hubs wearing. Now being outside of warranty how long until it’s back and...
  18. The Dreaded Axle Clunk is Back for Gen 1 AND Early Gen 2! But my R1S Now is Better Than New from Factory

I had this come up at about 45k on my quad Jan ā€˜23 build… They replaced the washers at 47k back in February this year… Then about 2 months ago it started happening again around 58k… I just got it fixed yesterday and they said they’re using a different part now that should last and resolve the...
