Didnāt have a need for a dual zone; so I picked up the SetPower RF25 that will fit in the frunk or under the tonneau. For just over $200 I felt like it was a good option to fit our needs for weekend camping and at the ball games!
Yes, this is equivalent to the 21ā and 22ā diameter set ups and is a 33ā overall. Now that we can program the vehicle on the fly itās significantly better in efficiency compared to a 34ā AT tire.
For comparison I started with the 21ās and averaged 2.46 lifetime efficiency for almost 43k...
Iāve experienced limited regen due to high state of charge or going down a steep grade and overheating. This was not the case and there was no warning. It went from working normal to free rolling no resistance with the only display notice being the regen bar just went whiteā¦
I can say I experienced this once right after the latest update⦠Left my house but truck hadnāt been parked long mid level state of charge and was in full regen then all of a sudden regen ceased 100% had to urgently apply the brakes for a stop that wouldnāt have otherwise required any input. But...
So yes the tire price is the same but there is a huge difference in the otd costs! This is where you have to get them to matchā¦
Costco is over $350 cheaper; Iāve not had a problem getting them to match in the past but you do have to go back and forth a bitā¦
Iāve got about 38k on mine and they were noisy in the middle of tread life more so than now theyāve worn down and noticed they got significantly less as the tread wore. Coming over from the stock 21ās that I got nearly 43k out of, Iāll be switching back to an AS Michelin here in the next 3-5k!
I went with a full size air bed 14ā model; plugs right into the bed for easy set up and take down and a pop up awning over the bed. Was a great set up and way better than strapping a confining tent not made for the truck⦠you can add a cheap mesh bug net to the canopy if needed!
I have a set of 4 that I can break up into spares I guess⦠tires are done but wheel in excellent condition. Stock tires have 42k on them and between 2-3mm of tread.
Iāll be down in Chatt for work the week of Labor Dayā¦
Except I never find myself charging from 60%-80%ā¦
For nearly the first year I tried keeping it limited to 70% unless travel dictated needing more⦠and Iād get two days between charges; a third would dip me between 10%-20%ā¦
Bumping up to 80% allows me to generally get three days between charging...
At least in this case Rivian did say they were partnering with select Repair Shops to do this to widen service area coverage and shipping the part directly to them to change. In my case the service center is only about 45 min away; but they were able to find one not far from where I live. This...
Rivian proactively reached out to me about two months ago to replace mine⦠I had no issues with wet carpet but the service rep said they are proactively going through all owners possibly affected and replacing the defective part⦠Took about half a day for them to complete⦠I dropped my truck off...
I tend to charge up to 80% every 2-3 days and drive till I hit below 20% and repeat⦠I think charging to 80% is a lot less hard on the battery than cycling an additional charge each week 50+ times a yearā¦
Iāve been running the new maps against Waze since update, and have found the new routing has actually been superior so far⦠Time saved on each drive varying anywhere from 2-15 min! Iām not a fan of the coloring and lack of multiple route options when entering a destination. But otherwise vastly...
