  1. Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) info / article by TechCrunch

Haven’t been to Moonlight yet. Looks solid. Now I’m hungry.
  2. What We Know - Collecting Information Directly From Rivian

I don’t use WAZE and I’m sure there’s a few simple ways to notate accidents, speed traps, etc. But, I can’t help but laugh when I think about the overarching concept of the crowdsourcing element as follows: WAZE user cruises by a flaming wreck on the side of the road caused by someone posting...
  3. R1T and Mountain Biking

I pretty much ride every weekend during spring/summer here in CO. I'd rather spend my time working on my skills and endurance than concern myself with people riding e-bikes. Someone hurt you? You seem really upset. I'll echo the sentiment of the other poster about those that yell the loudest...
  4. Accessories Included in Config Pricing: Roof Rack and Tow Hitch?

Ha. Gotcha. I thought that might have been the case but wasn’t positive.
  5. Heads up display

I’m pretty sure, or hopeful, that will be the case as well. I’d rather not go find another outrageously expensive BEV to buy and have to sign up on a forum and chat for a year or two before I ever see it! ;) I’m having enough trouble finding an Xmas gift for my lady. It’s getting down to the...
  6. Heads up display

Ha. I knew I should have added “if I can’t turn it off” for clarity. Not dramatic in the least. Just is what it is. If it’s there permanently, I’ll find another vehicle to buy. No biggie. It’s not hyperbolic if I’ll follow through with my claim. To each their own. I also hate cooked carrots. In...
  7. Heads up display

I despise HUD’s. If implemented, I would cancel my pre-order. I’m a fan of technology, but I’m not a fan of living the world of Tron. I’m looking out the window to look out the window.
  8. Accessories Included in Config Pricing: Roof Rack and Tow Hitch?

Why was I quoted? Ha. I’m guessing that was an error and you intended to direct this message elsewhere. I’m rather familiar with receivers, ball mounts, and trailers, etc.
  9. Real Rivian Photos & Videos

I totally get the desire for 20" wheels by some for the capability aspect. My comments were simply aimed at the aesthetic looks of the wheel options.
  10. Real Rivian Photos & Videos

Ha! Definitely different strokes. I think the only decent wheel options for the R1T are the 21" and 22". The dark 20" on the R1S come in 3rd and the alloy colored 20" are the ugliest. I hate the rectangular design of the alloy 20" wheels. For the R1S, I again like the 21" and 22" wheel...
  11. Bloomberg article: Rivian vs everyone else

Found the reference to Rivian using Ford vans (along with their own fleet) for the mobile service network interesting.
  12. What We Do Not Know - Important Information Still Needed to Make an Informed Decision

I see both points being valid. Sure, value has always been about what someone is willing to pay, but cost structuring typically always incorporates different levels of quality, extras, enhancements, etc. that the buyer will receive for said price. I'm still going to buy the 5 seater R1S...
  13. Rivian to lease 500,000 square feet of warehouse space in Normal

No bigs! Just a delightful game of frogger. Gets that heart rate up! You get a new ride and a workout!

  15. Colorado Checking In

Interesting about the 220 vs. 240. The rest of your post might as well have been written in Sanskrit. You electrical engineers always know how to crack me up! ;)
  16. Colorado Checking In

Anything over 46A appears worthless as the Rivian's kW acceptance is capped at 11 kW (roughly 46A). A 48A could push 11.5 normally if there wasn't a cap by Rivian. A 40A/240 EVSE is pushing 9.6 kW. Definitely not a 50 percent difference when you are comparing Chargepoint/Juicebox or other...
  17. Colorado Checking In

Yep. 40A will be more than enough. For those that want the 48A (60A dedicated circuit/hard wired), go for it. To each their own. Doing all the math, it's about 1 to 1.5 hours faster arriving at the charging goal. Unnecessary for my particular situation.
  18. Roof Top Tents

    He's not a happy camper!!! ;)
  19. Bloomberg Technology interview with RJ

Hahaha. I’ve been trying to figure out his go-to brands! I think Pataguchi is definitely one.
