It sounds like the aftermarket tonneau covers are not.a slam-dunk win either though. The interrobang (imo the best alternative) panels don't interlock, the pieces are not all the same size, and there is no good storage solution for it. It also doesn't inherit the full vehicle warranty...

I felt ok putting some light tools (socket set, hand tools), and Costco groceries on top of it for a few minutes. But I wouldn't put real mass on top. Probably wouldn't even put a bike on it. Definitely not going to be walking around on it or anything.

Yep, happened to me a couple months ago. Came out to the truck one morning to find it that way on the drive to work: blinker sound, navigation, music, all gone, save for the muffled subwoofer output. Fixed itself after a sleep reset.
