My guide tells me that the DMV has my paperwork, so we'll see what happens next. The crummy thing is I want to change the plates to Pacific Wonderland so I'll have to deal w/ that nonsense as well but I also need to get my Real ID license, so 2 birds and all that.
The Rivian GPS is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. It's super basic, and barely usable when compared to something like Google maps (the exception being that it does know more about charging stops than Google, but much less than ABRP and/or plugshare).
Bottom line: If your question is anything...
Real question: Do you think you can fully experience hi res audio in the cabin of a truck rolling down the freeway? The R1 is a quiet vehicle (relatively speaking), but there is still road and wind noise.
My guide is apparently also an attorney. I told them my plates expired on Sunday and they replied
Officer, its' the DMV's fault.
In reality, I don't think the police are too worried about expired tags right now - they know everything is still a bit of a mess. They'll probably only pull folks...
I was offered two trucks that then got pulled back. Then one of them actually became available again, and i ended up getting it. It was 7 days from guide email to pick up even with the snafus.
A guy pulls up next to us and mouths 'cool truck' - my wife rolls down the window he kind of apologizes. She explains it happens all the time, and he said ok "what's the skateboard platform".
I thought - well that's a very original and interesting question.
This is me as well. Alignment and then minor issues with the latches on all the things not a door. It took me 3 months to get an appointment and the truck needs to be transported from portland to seattle because portland does not have a lift.
I have one, haven't used it yet as i don't have my plates.
But definitely not worried about scratching the tow hook. I don't think that will happen as the mount looks to be 3D printed PETG, and even if it does scratch it, it's the tow hook on a truck, so there's that.
If I get bored today...
I'm not sure the official name, but I mounted my RTT using these (not these exactly some I grabbed at the local ace).
Could you place one of these on top of the light bar, one below, and bolt them together (sandwich the light bar and the rack between the two straps)...
A long trip is 240 miles RT? I call that "Saturday" (or Sunday). :)
Your second point is 100% valid - EV road tripping (multiple days of 400+ miles) - requires planning and charging considerations are not equal in different parts of the country.
I've done two 2,000+ mile trips in the R1T...
I am selfish but I like the idea of hood because that's where I'll likely go most of the time, so getting some initial intel would be helpful.
But, I'm also not opposed to SW WA - WABDR - or something along those lines.
Same boat. My temp tags expire in 5 days. I'm less worried about that as I can't see the cops bothering me for it, and if they do I'll likely just get a fixit ticket.
What I'm more concerned about is my lender hasn't gotten the title, and I don't want them to convert my vehicle loan to an...
