I am curious to know if its possible to charge Tesla powerwalls using the 120volt outlets from my Rivian in case of an emergency. I can charge from my solar panels, of course, and also charge them from the grid, so I would think there should be some way to charge the powerwalls from another...
I believe the redesigned the hood and latching mechanism, and thats the only REAL fix. I have kinda gotten used to it, but its really the one thing about the truck that I really dislike and would call a problem.
Yep, service has tried to fix mine 3 times, and it still flutters. The center near the badge also indents when going 70+. I live right by the toll road where the speed limit is 80 so I get to deal with it every day.
103k for the tri motor... how much will the quad be??? I was prepared for low six figure. Anyone know if the quad motor is going to be added to the builder?
Also have a Kuat Piston SR with a 54lb Trek Rail 7. It looks huge on the bed, and the bike wobbles, so I add a strap to give it some tension. i think the wobbling is actually flex in the cross bars, I am looking for ways to stabilize the bars, or even go aftermarket. It does take some muscle...
It's a Trek Rail 7 (Medium). Fairly large enduro bike with 29"ers and 50 lbs. But the bed on the Rivian isn't super large, so normal MTBs still are a snug fit.
FWIW the Kuat Piston SR kicks a lot of ass. PLUS the gear shop sells them with custom Rivian mounts! I emailed them to see if I can get those mounts because they look really really useful. I currently use the t-slot mounts and they work, but are more work to remove/install and don't look as nice...

We did it in a Tesla and it was easy but I am not yet confident enough in the ccs network to take the R1T. Ill be watching this thread to see how it went but I reckon it will be a year or two before there are enough stations to make that trip comfortably.
Tesla definitely going to hack into your truck through the charge port and turn on all your cameras so it can send back pictures of you and your house and dog. And then it will track your route so they will know where you work and what you do on your off hours. Of course... your phone already...
