On your #1 - are you placing the key card at the right place in the door?
#2 - This is a bug in software (it's been in at least the last 2 builds). The vents don't react properly or respond in any meaningful manner to inputs. The fix is to turn off each vent for about 10 seconds, then try...
These guys are garbage. Their content is clickbait. They are obnoxious. Please stop linking them or giving them attention. They are my least favorite youtubers and that's saying a lot.
I bought this truck because I'm an auto enthusiast and I love fast things and I also love practicality. Don't care about performance? Why don't you get yourself one of those Ford EV van things. Trucks aren't just for work anymore.
I'm looking for solutions for the under-seat rear storage. Don't want things rattling around in there and so far I've been stumped. Also can't wait for the aftermarket to kick in.
Color corrected to a reasonably accurate hue. It's the closest I've seen in any photos anywhere of this color. This will also give you an idea of what it looks like with the front windows tinted.
He plans on making more pieces but he had limited time with the R1T he used for the templates. Once he gets more time with one, more pieces will be coming. I told him a strip for the top of the tailgate would be awesome given how that's basically a grab handle if you aren't careful and it will...
Re: Regen and snow. People seem to be unaware that the amount of regen is up to you. You feather the throttle slowly and the car will coast or regen as slowly as you want. It's quite easy to do. It's not an on/off switch.
You couldn't be more wrong on it not seeming like a machine and the mechanical end being hidden from you. The steering is fantastic. The motors have real audible feedback. The different drive modes transform it into a wildly different jack of so many trades. Taking it out on a dirt road and...
I have high quality ceramic tint all around except the roof (windshield I could only to Air 90 because of dumb Texas laws) and the truck doesn't get very hot. The roof is a source of far less heat than you might think. It has a high IR and nearly complete UV rejection from the factory. Adding...
Just remember that with EVs it is best if you leave them plugged in when you are not using them. The Rivian manual will tell you this as does the Tesla manual.
I'm in the wind noise club as well. You can see the defects in the seals easily.
It's both the vertical strip and the little expanded foam bit at the base. The passenger side looks tight and flush and filled.
That's still a low number out of 6,000, but an interesting statistic nontheless. Another thing to note in this is that it seems these failures more typically occur early in in EVs (this is based on years of Tesla forum scrounging).
For what it's worth, these kinds of failures can and do happen, but they are RARE. There are something like 6,000 of these trucks out there right now and this is the first instance of what appears to be motor failure. ICE vehicles can and do also have catastrophic failures of this nature. EVs...
The fan will keep running if the car is unlocked. Lock it and you'll hear the climate instantly turn off. There are some fans that sometimes kick on when charging, but they are very quiet.
One thing you may want to look into is that the phone as key is very sensitive. If the truck is unlocked it turns on climate control and a bunch of fans kick into gear. If your truck is in a garage attached to your home you may be waking it up just by walking around.
News for you is that essentially all automotive paints do this. Even Rolls Royces can feature some orange peel. It is the rule rather than the exception.
