No photo I've seen on here has ever come close to capturing the orangey/rusty red of this beautiful color! It looks like fall leaves in person. I would almost describe it as orange-red - not red-orange It is distinctive and unique. I deeply love my R1t.
My first guide was fantastic (Wendy), my second guide, (Genny - assigned after Wendy went on leave) is rather slow and has stressed me out terribly when I'm trying to get a quick answer to something. Apparently the guides have a lot of people assigned to them right now but my cortisol levels...
Are you certain that the Rivian app can turn on bluetooth on your phone if you have turned it off? I have never had the Tesla app do this to me. I just turn off bluetooth and put the phone in the pin protected glovebox (when it's cool enough to not bake in there).
Very strange! My guess is that FE/RC is very rare and they just haven't made any. I have this theory that they are making configs based on demand and shipping them to service centers before any customer assignment.
It's crazy to me that I have a truck supposedly locked in and am going through 8 steps - but I've never seen an R1T in person! I deeply love the Lucid Air and so am doubly jealous!
I am in the 8 step process and live in Austin. The vehicle will come from Dallas since the service center here isn't yet open. From what I've gathered there are 3 other R1Ts in Austin. The green one is likely an employee. There is a blue one who frequents north Austin, and then someone on...
I told her I wanted AT wheels - dark or the normal gunmetal ones + offroad package. Told her that I might accept limestone if it looked like it would be awhile for red. She found the config very quickly already in Dallas. To me it sounds like they are just shipping trucks to service centers...
I was originally in this time window. Got the email from Rivian about scheduling with the guide and they matched me to a truck within 2 days of talking to her. I did give them 3 configurations to choose from (the available one is Canyo Red w/dark AT's + offroad package, BM interior). The R1T...
Out of Spec stuff is always worth it. I love Kyle and he gives you a better and more complete sense of vehicles than anyone else does. For shorter stuff on unobtainable cars i go to channels like Carfection.
I PPF'd the front clip and side rockers on my Tesla Model 3. I absolutely love it. My previous car was constantly getting rock chips due to all of the semis/construction trucks around Austin constantly spewing rock fragments everywhere. I've had a couple of impacts big enough to chip through...
Forest green with the black rims is very chef's kiss. I'm currently eyeing that as a backup to limestone. I really, really wish that more information would come out as to why there are none in existence and why the color isn't in production.
I really wish it was LG for the masses. I waited for the first media impressions of the truck (I ordered as soon as I read the Motor Trend TAT stuff) and so missed the "launch edition" (I'm a fool I know!) and i lust after that which I cannot have - Launch Green. It's perfect for a vehicle...
The consensus is that the offroad package extends said armor from *just the battery* to the front and rear of the truck. So you'd be getting armor to protect the motors and inboard suspension bits.
This is a terrible idea. Why would some aftermarket plastic product be better than the OEM?
Reinforced underbody shield
Protecting the underbody of our vehicle is a layered shield of high-strength steel, alloyed aluminum and carbon fiber composite. Engineered to absorb, deflect and distribute...
Only older model S/X. The Model 3 uses a "virtual fusing" system. Count on Rivian doing this as well. Fuses are essentially legacy technology nowadays.

I solved the problem of heat transmittance through the roof glass on my Tesla by having very high quality (Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle) tint applied to it. I can drive it in the Texas heat and I never feel any heat/IR radiation coming through.
