Met up with a fellow Rivian fan here in Denver today and we stopped by the Denver Service Center to see if the R1Ts were home. They were! We noticed an interesting movement inside the small grill below the trunk that I hadn't seen before. Looks like there is a moving louver system to keep the...
I often drive by on the way home from dropping my kids off at school. After 8am there is usually one or two parked there. Security is ok with you walking around the exterior. They said not to mess with the trucks (as they are private property) but you can look. And, not to look or take pictures...
I drove by the service center today and it's all ramped up and ready to go. Empty stalls for "Delivery Vehicles" even - It was super cool to see them in person. I did a vid about it:
Hey all - hope you're having a great new year!
Maybe a few days overdue (thank you COVID and kid duty!), but here is my year-end picks of my favorite videos of last year (and a bit). Thanks to all of YOU for building this amazing community.
well said @electruck
It seems likely that the delay on the Max pack deliveries is a fairly large money loss, given that many will drop their orders or shift to the less expensive Large pack, providing less margin and less sales for Rivian (if we assume that it costs less than $10k additional...
I agree, this is a concern for me as well for one very important reason: It may be the only item that can't be affected by OTA updates, if it is simply baked into the hardware design.
Can anyone confirm that battery preconditioning is, in fact, part of the design? It seems obvious that it would...
Or perhaps @DuckTruck this, sir, is YOUR very dastardly plan from the start: hack Alexa to convince @opnwide that this is indeed a good plan. Then, type up a very long message to effectively frame poor @opnwide when a spate of garage heists are carried out by a suspicious, sleepy gentleman in a...
I think it's kind of a "new kid on the block" article. I did, however, take one issue with its final point - that hopefully Rivian won't also flood the market like Tesla and become uncool. I don't agree. I HOPE Rivian (and Lucid) reach the output that Tesla has - it would be good for everyone...
Nice article quoting a couple of the folks in the Rivian community:

My 7 year old daughter knows more about the Rivian than most grown-ups. All the kids care, though, is that there is a USB-C port for each kid in the back seat. :)
Thanks all for posting and watching! It's our family Christmas tradition (video Christmas card) and this year it just HAD to be about Rivian somehow. And yes, the waiting pain is real. :) I know you can all relate.
Oh, and in case you're wondering: no, the R1T will NOT fit in my garage - that...
here's the article from AJC (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution):

I think these are only LE orders. I actually have two orders placed at similar times, one is an LE but one is for the Max Pack (wanted to see which one comes first). I only got one email today so I'm assuming that is the LE.
I found this to be an excellent interview, if a bit sparse. Some takeaways:
- refers to the Amazon order as "initial order"
- emphasizes that they are designed to build multiple products at once (different teams, different production lines)
- no announcements on new plants yet (Bloomberg...
Thanks! Yeah, I'm looking at 8ft high option which I think might future-proof the garage a bit. Looks like 8 ft high are standard. Sgt Beavis - Do you park a truck in your garage?
(by the way, I think I remember from a previous thread that you're in Denver - close to my kid's school at 5 Points!)
