  1. Rivian Configurator is Up For Reservation Holders! Share Your Build / Configuration Inside

So I think the order numbers changed a few months ago when Rivian noticed the number in the URL. I placed a pre-order just before that day, and another a month or so later. When I heard I could look up my pre-order, the number was not there (post change). Today, if I do this trick, one of my...
  2. Rivian Configurator is Up For Reservation Holders! Share Your Build / Configuration Inside

Did anyone else have two pre-orders and only get one email? I pre-ordered using the same email each time, but as of now they have only sent one config invite. Wouldn't be that big of a deal since I'm not planning on buying two, but the missing invite is an EARLIER pre-order!
  3. Configurator Strategy?

That's what I did. I'm also supposed to have a 2nd pre-order to config but haven't received the email yet! I was thinking to configure one of each (LE and 180) and see what happens, although I only plan on buying one of them.

If only it were that easy
  5. Rivian Configurator is Up For Reservation Holders! Share Your Build / Configuration Inside

Just got mine - 3:09pm Eastern time. Preorder Aug 10 2020. Someone said you can find your reservation number from the URL. How??
  6. Rivian Configurator is Up For Reservation Holders! Share Your Build / Configuration Inside

In an attempt to answer my question about wheel size pro/cons, I found this thread on a separate blog for ICE trucks, but I think it applies: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/233492-20-inch-wheels-vs-22-in-wheels/ Basically, the consensus seems to be that 20 in wheels are better than 22s...
  7. Rivian Configurator is Up For Reservation Holders! Share Your Build / Configuration Inside

Great screen shots. Thanks! I'm a bit in the dark as to the pros/cons of each tire set. Thoughts?
  8. Configurator Strategy?

But I don't think we'll have the option to "lock in" until much later. So, I'm still guessing there will be no date estimates. I hope I'm wrong. But, if there are, then we can re-configure to see the estimated dates for each various configuration. That would be sweet.
  9. Configurator Strategy?

Is it blue? (if so, no promises.)
  10. Configurator Strategy?

Admittedly, I'm just saying that on a gut instinct. I don't have any specific info either way. I just think that they will notify pre-orders much later about estimated delivery date. Particularly for those of us who configure something not yet available (e.g. 180kWh).
  11. Configurator Strategy?

I would be shocked if they give any sort of timeline.
  12. Configurator Strategy?

There used to be a trick to look up your number in the code on the web site. However, they closed that down. I never got mine either. But one thing's for sure - you're ahead of me. :)
  13. Configurator Strategy?

I don't know mine (50k?). I pre-ordered two times - one just before they cut off the email trick to see your number, and one other just after. At the time I didn't know if I wanted an SUV or truck. So, that's one reason I wanted to start this thread - to strategize around how I use the two...
  14. Configurator Strategy?

Good to know. That way I can re-configure stuff as more news comes out (e.g. price for 180 upgrade, specs, etc).
  15. Configurator Strategy?

Still no configuration invite. I’m wondering what exactly is the Purchase Agreement and when that will happen. I presume some time before delivery but how long before delivery? Any guesses? (This is when the configuration will be locked in. How does Tesla do it?)
  16. Configurator Strategy?

Gotcha. But really though, would configuring anything fast actually put me ahead in line of someone who has a much lower reservation number? I have to assume not.
  17. Configurator Strategy?

Only hours away from the new configurator, I'm curious about your strategy around how you'll configure. I actually have two reservations, one R1T and one R1S. I reserved both before I knew that I could switch from one to the other upon configuration (now we know that we can). I have decided the...
