Yeah, my guess is that the AT tires won't last anywhere near the "expected" amount. People are already seeing significant wear at as little as 15 k miles.
Thanks! I know, its a lot of weight. The first time I did a launch in the R1T I thought "that just doesn't feel right." (meaning that much weight jumping up to speed that fast!)
So, a friend and R1T owner (Robert Powell) recently sent me some amazing footage he recorded at the Circuit of the Americas - an F1 track - where he had pro driver Blake Fuller (and Pike's Peak EV record holder) drive at top speeds around the track - twice. The footage was so cool that I asked...
So we had an amazing Earth Day activity at Red Rocks in Denver (46 Rivians!). While we were there, I annoyed 14 owners by asking them what their favorite feature was. I didn't tell them what anyone else had said, so these are all genuine replies. Surprisingly, only two people said the same thing...
I believe we all share the goal of creating a hearty Rivian-based community in local areas. There is no one avenue that will cover it all. The RMRC is a part of the umbrella Rivian Clubs of America, which we are just rolling out to lots of places. It's an official legal 501c7 club non profit...
Hey CO peeps. Just cross posting this here in case you might not have seen the post by @CUBldr97 about this Saturday's meetup for Earth Day - we’re meeting at Red Rocks (Lower North Lot) at 8:30-11 am. Bring a coffee maker if you have one (or, in our case, hot chocolate). It’s free - although we...
Thanks Keith! Yeah, hope we see a lot of you all!!
here's the official registration link. It's free but we'd love for people to register to help us track the event attendance:

Yeah, there are so many now that I don’t even try to distinguish between the ones for delivery and the ones that are in for service. Mostly though, it seems like the ones for delivery are behind the fence, but there are still plenty for deliveries in the front lot as well. Either way there are a...
Holy moly, lots of stuff in this vid. I met an Amazon van, Compass Yellow R1S, counted over 120 Rivians in the Denver lot! Oh, and six more arrived as I was there for the recall!
Thanks, but I already know my VIN is on the list. I just want to know more details about what the sensor is, how do we know it's not working, etc (for a video report about it).
Can someone explain how I can know if mine is working properly or not? I will go to the service center for recall but before doing that, I'd like to know if it's actually broken. thx
Yes, definitely dedicated tires for winter. I tried to get some this winter, but the deal fell through, so I’ll be aiming for some next winter now that it’s potentially spring. I say, potentially, but we probably have a few more snow storms in our future this year. :-)
