Let's be honest....the R1S doesn't outsell the vast majority of SUVs available today from any of the mainstream auto manufacturers. But it might outsell some of the more niche SUVs. Maybe.
Yet the side glass is caked in mud, while the front and rear are essentially clean. And if you're going to tell me that he cleaned the front and rear glass, then I guess he missed a spot on the back glass and didn't bother just using the wipers on the front glass. Why not clean the side glass...
Gotta agree. The front and back glass is what made me question his story. It's almost like someone intentionally sprayed mud and avoided the front & back glass, and most of the hood for that matter. Also, if the vehicle was truly floating in flood waters for any real distance, the odds of having...
Yeah, pretty much all modern vehicles that have water fording capabilities have cabins that are sealed to keep water out. Double door seals really work amazing well.
If it were truly harmful, it would be soooo easy to put a hard stop in the programming to prevent people from not coming to a complete stop before changing directions.
As a kid, we used to use an owl hoot as a communication signal when we were up to our nighttime shenanigans.
Now every time I hear an actual owl, it brings back those memories. Good times.
When are they going to install NACS ports in their vehicles? That's what I'm wondering. I think there are some people waiting for that to happen before they'll purchase a Rivian.
BTW, wouldn't it be great if they kept the CCS port where it is currently and just added a NACS port on the opposite...
Same here, but with WK2 Grand Cherokees. All have been 100% free of issues. This new electric Jeep looks nice, but I'd rather wait for something more the size of a Grand Cherokee (like the R1S, for example) because the midsize is perfect for my needs.
Ouch. The issue for you is that by the time the stock price goes up enough to get back to that $10,000 value, inflation will mean that you're still thousands in the hole. Honestly, you'd be better off selling for whatever you can get and investing that money is an indexed fund. It will most...
I agree with you completely, but I'm still going to get a big kick out of all the Gen 1 owners who repeatedly used the straightline speed as a justification for purchase, yet when something faster comes out, it suddenly doesn't matter anymore. That said, I've always made the point that I'd much...
Quickest SUV ever? Shhh.....don't tell the Model X Plaid about this. I hear those things can do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. Maybe they can make the argument that the Model X isn't really an SUV? I dunno...
Airbags aren't supposed to go off when you get rear-ended. The only exception are active headrests (I have them in my Jeep, but I don't know if Rivian has them) that pop to prevent whiplash or neck/spine injury when hit from behind. But those aren't really airbags.
I dunno......vehicles today are designed to crumple. The idea is for the vehicle to take the crash forces instead of the occupants. In this case, the driver of the Rivian was injured, right? I'd rather have the vehicle crushed instead of my spine. When I see a vehicle that looks horrible after...
