  1. 4 Wheel Steering Cybertruck - in Action Video

Single motor variant will never be produced. It will start with dual motor / 300ish mile range. This lines up with Lightning Lariat Extended range which is around $88k. That $50k price is long out the window for obvious reasons. It's been years and the landscape is totally different with covid...
  2. Hope V2H Vehicle to House is a priority for Rivian

Referring to using the Lightning as a generator. Naysayers keep downplaying the Lightning saying it takes $2k/$4k/$10k to utilize the power output which is simply misinformation. I have both trucks and Rivian loses big points for shorting us on the power output with a 1500w surge inverter that...
  3. Hope V2H Vehicle to House is a priority for Rivian

EVSE doesn't allow flow in both directions but the wire going to your panel from it sure does. Not much equipment is needed. <$100 total from the electrical aisle at your local hardware store including a $20 lockout. If someone is setup for a gas generator, they basically already have what they...
  4. Hope V2H Vehicle to House is a priority for Rivian

Setting up the Lightning is not expensive. Easily done for less than $100 if you have any electrical knowledge.
  5. Enphase announces bidirectional EV charging solution.

It was my understanding that DC bidirectional is either enabled or not. It would be like Rivian locking down AC charging to only a Rivian charger. Doesn't make sense. These will likely be pretty pricey but may be worth it depending on your needs. Wallbox Quasar 2 is expected soon as well and...
  6. No/Low Regrets Cost-Cutting Opportunities

It sucks it doesn't work but a perfect fix is about $120. AdventureMat I think is most polished looking solution. Add in two genuine apple magsafe chargers. https://adventurehightech.com/products/adventuremat
  7. No/Low Regrets Cost-Cutting Opportunities

Camp Speaker is useless for a few reasons. I don't even keep in the truck anymore. Need to figure out what to do with the space. -The docking and charging is unreliable -The bluetooth is spotty and has had handshake issues -$100 Anker speaker works better so don't need it on $80k-$100k truck...
  8. Vampire Drain - 4.57 kWh/day, 8 miles rated range per day

It's not suppose to apparently as it means it's not sleeping, but mine definitely keeps that heater on. Snow this morning and big empty spot there and ice down the window.
  9. Interior Light Colors (Feedback for Rivian)

Premium RGB lighting for your R1T at the low introductory price of only $4.99/month
  10. Is the ‘low speed tock’ still a thing?

It's about as common as broken tonneaus. If you don't have it now, you will in the future.
  11. Rivian forgot the passenger side logo letters on my R1T

This is something that should be picked up by AI QC. Tesla is investing more money now into QC done by AI Cameras. They never forget a line on their checklist and take laser quick measurements.
  12. Vampire Drain - 4.57 kWh/day, 8 miles rated range per day

What was total drain by Model 3? Looks like roughly 2-3kwh versus 63kwh for the R1T? 20-30X more drain? Crazy I can run my entire home for 2-3 days with 5 kids leaving lights on everywhere/laundry/dishes/gaming/hvac for what our trucks do while doing nothing for a couple weeks.
  13. Adhesive front license plate

If you are considering the ugly sticker, why not just use some VHB tape and mount the plate to your front?
  14. EV SportsLine Bed Liner Fits Like a Glove

Looks like a DIYer cut a piece of rubber mat to fit. Sloppy. Hope Husky makes something for the bed. Would probably be cheaper as well.
  15. Ride quality R1S vs R1T? Should I be worried about reviews?

R1T is pretty clunky and unsettled on rough roads as well.
  16. Vampire Drain - 4.57 kWh/day, 8 miles rated range per day

You would need 18 flux-capacitors just to power our vampire drain. 1.21 GIGAWATTS! Rivian better start ramping production on flux-capacitors alongside the R1S/R1T...
  17. Cybertruck Tonneau Cover

If implemented correctly, camera can be superior in some ways. No head rests in the way. Better field of view. Just needs to be out of the wind trail. The Rivian rear camera gets dirty quick.
  18. How noisy is your front end?

I have concluded that conserve is a little more clunky. Not scientific though. Just one persons opinion. I don't go back and forth between them. R1T is not a smooth ride as some state though. Over large expansion joints and rough roads, it gets kinda messy IMO. Which is basically everywhere.
  19. Cracked Windshield

It's been determined by forum users that Rivian uses cheap Fuyao Glass that is very fragile. Almost any rock size will take it out.
  20. R1T “vampire” battery drain concerns. Is this normal?

Normal. Just be thankful you don't see 0F-20F temps in SoCal. Vampire drain 2-3X that.
