I think “overheating” is an overUSED term.
Did the vehicle go into turtle mode? If not, it likely did not OVERheat. It just got hot. Within operating range.
The discussion is about why the stock price is down, not about hard data on EV demand.
Stock market is fickle and has no issue trading on rumor or speculation. If many big manufacturers say EV demand is low, it makes sense that people would take that as a sell signal.
Eh, it depends how you look at it:
You could see GM delays EVs because of low GM demand, or GM delays EVs because of low EV demand.
Most would read the situation as the latter, which indicates that the EV pie is smaller than expected in the near future, and this is much worse for EV-only...
They would call any investigation into alleged or perceived wrongdoing a potential material threat to their business; that is standard wording for such CYA disclaimers re: forward-looking statements and guidance in financial disclosures
I hope they do get penalized somehow, but the fact they...
I’m fine with people who don’t need the size or capability of the R1 buying a smaller, more efficient vehicle. Especially if they also don’t like how the R1 looks.
“Well into 2024” isn’t far away at all. I maintain that they may very well undercut R1 DM pricing when they do launch their DM offering, even if Tri-motor is slightly higher than QM at launch.
And, your statement isn’t really true. I got a LRRWD single-motor M3 at launch. And a LRAWD MY at...
Pricing doesn’t sound crazy high
Potentially not market-leading either, but not that far off from a QM. Plus, Tesla messes with their pricing more than anyone else so I won’t be surprised if it _is_ market-leading in the not-too-distant future.
Tesla also historically has a higher $ delta...
I didn’t sign. In practice I grant the least data possible in scenarios like this.
Sure, it’s a connected vehicle and Rivian already has plenty of data about me. But I’ll opt out of all data collection I can.
I also opted out of binding arbitration, twice (once after reservation, once after...
Of course they did. The software needs to be able to differentiate between different configurations of the vehicle. Not only motor configuration, but wheel/tire configuration, battery configuration, even exterior color.
It would be crazy to imagine a world where the software is blind to the...
